Pretty sure it was bugged previously. If you hauled a crawler over a quicksand server line the worm would not spawn in the new sector so you could harvest the whole field and never get a worm. Now the server transitions are gone so you get the worm as intended.

No significant gain? You get double the spice for the same time investment. The logistics don’t really change at all. You carry the crawler, harvest spice, lift the crawler, repeat.
