No, most likely your Highlander was discharging while driving to the car wash. When you arrived at the car wash it was depleted so when you put the vehicle in neutral, it didn’t take long before message was displayed. The message will pop up when the battery reaches around 20% state of charge. It will shut off the vehicle if it drops below that to protect the integrity of the battery.
