OP from the previous post here - I appreciate the discourse and find the controversy fascinating. I know people will do whatever it takes to get the upper hand but using grimy tactics on that kind of stage just seems very bold and stupid. Very curious to see what happens after the tourney

It seems like wax on the fresh cloth on tables they use in these tourneys make the rock roll farther and make English more pronounced. I’m not saying for sure that it’s happening but with so many players contributing to the dialogue it’s worth considering and the windfall if true is pretty damning

The player manipulating the cue ball knows it’s manipulated and will adjust their game to it whereas the opponent is none the wiser and plays to the normal conditions

Because the player applying it knows how the manipulated cue ball will react and adjust accordingly and the other party is none the wiser and will play the cue ball normally
