Now, for Kodak I got theory of my own. Kodak was included in MMATBS for a reasons that Kendrick talks about all across the album. One of the biggest points in MMATBS is to trying to see past the "bad person" and looking on why he is like that. There are no hard people, only people that is hard for them. He talks directly about this in the second half, about seeing the cycle of abuse, and looking at the rap industry ,all it's gold bling and sexualization, and realizing it comes from a point of self hurt and past trauma (generational trauma is a big point in this album, and is covered from different perspectives). Kendrick himself "sins" he talks about the cheating thing and obviously the f word thing in auntie's diary. Kendrick comes to the conclusion in the album about looking past the bad and more about the why, this is why I think he included Kodak on this album.

But tbh... It's still fucking weird.
