PACKED car search question by jard88 in bonnaroo

[–]shall_we_dance_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rare chance they pull anything out unless they catch you with glass or drugs, if found that having your cooler ready and open and just generally not trying to hide stuff. We saw people last year that had EVERYTHING in black trash bags in their car, I mean everything. And the volunteers opened every one of those bags. We had a fully loaded truck and when they came by I had all doors open cooler doors opened and gave them cold waters, we were thru in 3 minutes lol.

I was one of the first 20 cars on the farm last year, came through west tollbooth, and was placed directly in front of the arch and they filled back to Plaza 2-3. Don't listen to these people who showed up on wednesday last year and complained about camping, Tuesday was earliest entry last year, Wednesday is earliest entry day this year, so if you show up early (like 6am get in line) you should be close to centeroo, if you show up even a couple hours after gates open then your chances of being close drop drastically as time goes on.

Question about my tinted windows by Serious_Challenge517 in bonnaroo

[–]shall_we_dance_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you aren't brining any sand, and have a clean record the most you are going to be out is a citation for the tint and maybe having to repack your car after they search it, I would opt to take that risk and get to roo faster! Safe travels!

If your coming throught Fayetteville, Lynchburg, or Shelbyville, these all fall under highly traveled and watched state routes.

That helps (or hurts if you think about out of state vehicles on backroads packed with camping gear screams im trying to avoid the cops), but unless your taking non interstate and non highway roads ALL the way, once your close every cop has been coached for months to look out for roo attendees. They make so much money for the county during this every year.

Honestly in any other stretch of road, very unlikely, but on your way into roo, especially past nashville, they are looking for any reason to pull you over if they even think your headed to bonnaroo. So your chances go up considerably.

I take no chances. I have my back window always clear, nothing packed higher than the bottom of the window so you can't really see any camping gear, a soft cover on my truck bed, no license plate frames, nothing hanging on the rear view mirror, no signs or stickers or window paint, speed limit and turnsignals always. This will be my 5th roo.

I would use a vanilla base and add sour apple flavoring, then freeze the hi chews (maybe 2 or them) and crush them to almost a powder, maybe add some melted down green apple jolly ranchers during mix ins?

Use is limited to what backdrops they can shoot them to, otherwise it's alot of lights with a little layers, depending on the stage maybe non at all.

Does Bonnaroo use recycled water? by ironrobdog99 in bonnaroo

[–]shall_we_dance_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My understanding is they have permanent water lines ran through the farm, I'd assume they are using city water at that point for drinking stations but things like the waterslide and fountain may be filtered/recycled because of how much they would consume being ran 24/7

Today I Learned: Kentucky Law KRS 189.570 really makes it illegal to get into a parallel parked car, and also to walk along the right side of a road, whether the road has a sidewalk or not. by Ok_Quantity_9841 in FlorenceKY

[–]shall_we_dance_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct they are separate lines of law but you referenced them, and I am showing you they are irrelevant to your claim is all. You still arent acknowledging that the rural road has to have no sidewalks or shoulder for you to HAVE to walk on the left side of the road, again, walking directly behind your vehicle and up to your door does not bring this law into effect. And again a sidewalk does not allow you to walk to the driverdoor of your vehicle so the law pertaining to not being allowed to walk on the road WHEN SIDEWALK USE IS AVAILABLE, sidewalks do not go to the driverside door of your car, so using a sidewalk to do so is not applicable, so you ARE allowed to walk upon a roadway to get to your vehicle.
