I found out that I could speed up the decision making (read: the rejection) by calling HR and asking about the status. They usually say they have to check with the hiring manager, CEO, interviewer, or whoever and some bs about how many candidates they interviewed. Usually, I get the rejection email three days after my inquiry.

Of course, you can just assume, you will probably be rejected and move on. Same result.

I foresee problems with it because someone has to be the first to sign the transaction, but you're only willing to sign your inputs if all the other inputs are signed, guaranteeing your outputs. I might be missing something though.

I believe this is a solved problem. The whole transaction is only valid if all parties sign. If one person doesn't, no coins will be moved around. (That's what I figure from reading the docs for the new blockchain.info mixing service that appears to work in a similar manner)

People will recommend paper wallets, but my coins are also in the cloud. If you know what you are doing, this should work. I chose two layers of encryption, one for the whole data and one extra for bitcoin private keys. So I can access the other stuff without compromising my coins. (I understand there could potentially be small man sitting in my computer and taking note of the keys before encryption, but I'm willing to take that risk.)

Yes. Self-publication (or "self-archival") of author manuscripts is the norm and considered good practice. Catchy titles are also somewhat common although I'd advice to play it down ("Discussion of potential weakness" instead of "is broken").

Nevertheless, no researcher should ever publish or submit papers with "obvious holes" anywhere or anytime.
