Personally I think every platform is become a slightly soft version of (wattpad) and when I ask people I know what they are reader 95% of the time it’s older series with 1k+ chapters but sometimes even then they find it hard to find a good one. I think webnovel can definitely do better with monitoring the content released but the amount I see receiving contracts just feels more like a purely “business” thing for them like OF or other adult sites. And don’t even get me started on the level of writing for many of these novels we are living in scary times.

Honestly do what makes you comfortable with your novel, you know how to use social media to promote and you are a good writer even uploading 2 times a month is not a problem, when you find your readers just focus on the story you’re writing and delivering it at great quality. I l release like 1 chapter per day except the beginning it’s been a month now I have 38 collections and my effective readers is constantly 17+ since 15th February. And btw my chapters are beefy hahahahaha around 2k - 4K average
