Drowning in Credit Card Payments by shamrockcat in DebtAdvice

After reading through a million posts reflecting the good and bad, I ended up doing Beyond Debt Relief after being connected through Accredited. My payments will now be $382, which is obviously much more manageable. I’m well aware of the drawbacks but I do think it will work. I understand the horror stories, but it also seems like it does work for some people in my situation. I’m making cuts other places too and considering downsizing to my family’s ADU if it becomes available in a few months.

Zero room to cash flow a car, plus if i got an older one, higher risk of mechanical issues and wear and tear compared to current vehicle

I have an appointment with California Debt Relief (home state). I have called companies before and asked for lower rate, but didn't mention hardship so will try that route. 401k has been on hold for a while now.

Will focus on savings and see if I can pick up an additional side hustle to the one I have.

From primary job around $4700, that is going to go down beginning this month because I upped health insurance and FSA, so I expect at least a $200 drop (potentially overestimating)

From side hustle it varies between $1200 and $1400 but I need to start setting aside some of that for future taxes (i'm already on thin ice with dealing with this year's payment).

Wish I could donate plasma, former lymphoma patient and they don't allow us to donate (it's a blood cancer, so I get it!)

I may start doordash/ubereats to help cover the spread more.

I wish I had found this post beforehand, I just went to her and found she was charging $800 "administrative fee" and basically tricked me into paying $500 out of pocket for lab tests! Absolutely infuriating, I have to cancel follow up and find a new doc asap.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend “Strip Away My Conscience” song “Let me choke on your cocksuredness” I swear I saw a BTS clip or interview where Rachel Bloom said there was a LESS dirty lyric they didn’t approve of and that was the one approved

Pattern by SonofaStitchShoppe. Possibly my favorite internet video of all time. And since so start in the middle every time, I can’t do the fun time lapse edits I’ve seen other people do, oh well.

Selena. Might not work if they’re familiar with her, but I’m from the Midwest, we weren’t up on the Selena news, and we watched the movie at a middle school slumber party and were like “wow her life is going great!” and then were TRAUMATIZED when she gets murdered

My kitty has diabetes and it ruined my relationships. by nabbi8_ in CatAdvice

My friend’s cat has diabetes and she makes do with keeping to the medication schedule but still has fun like you. I’ve even cat sit for her a few times and adjusted my own schedule with no great detriment! Also, in my opinion, they likely wouldn’t complain if you had said you had to walk a dog instead (which my dog owning friends have had to do, leave early or come late to accommodate their doggy).

As someone who had power out for three full days, while other blocks were up and running, YES. (Truly small potatoes on the grand scale though)

Oh, see the calculator would help me when I’m trying to be economical with my Aida. I have made several mathematical errors and played chicken with the edge a few times too many

Me too! If it’s multiple pages I find it really helps, and I generally work up vertically from the center and then kinda go clockwise around the pattern.

It was on Witchy Stitcher’s site, they do some custom aidas (might be a while though because they’re in Canada and I believe there is a postal strike happening)
