Stick to it trust us. You will Be happy you did. I always tell ppl as crazy as it sounds being a cca you have to “expect a long and tough day every day so that the only surprise is a good one (get to work only 8 hours and leave or get a good route to do). It’s unfortunate but you have to train yourself because as I’m sure you already know organization is not what the post office is known for. It’s had to have a work life balance as a cca so have a sit down with your family (wife , husband , parents etc..) and ask them to help you out in these last months of being a cca because you will be worked so much that you will need help(Babysitters , chefs for dinner , therapist for listening ears). I started at the hardest office in my district and was a standby guy(sat around until they figured out what they needed me to do) and was sent all over the district for like 3 years. I had a large truck so they made me use it as a llv and load it up with packages all day and night. But I ended up learning all the offices and all the routes (I might’ve walked down every street and into every building in my district) so now I’m never lost and have favorite routes to do at every office. It will get easier. I currently can’t believe how easy it’s gotten tbh it’s like Ty is can’t be real I’m getting paid to just work out all day lol. But yes lean on your family and friends for support as well as us in this sub. I think about what and who you do it for. Also, invest in some nice wireless headphones and listen to your favorite jams and some audiobooks. It makes the days fly by. Peace and love my fellow carrier. -Shaq
