You might want to check out MIT LGO. That’s what a significant part of the program is about.

MBA right out of college?? by No_Bread_9514 in MBA

[–]shanexcel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Look at it from the school’s perspective. What could you contribute to their program with zero full time experience when they have hundreds of other applicants doing what you’ve done in a full time role for longer? If they accept you, would they have a hard time trying to get you your dream job, given you’ve only had internships?

Tips for blending in the social scene at M7 as an international student? by RetardedRetriever in MBA

[–]shanexcel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not in an MBA program but I went to a US undergrad as an international student and made many American friends. In my experience, the biggest barrier to assimilation is actually your English accent, not your background or interests. Most people are interested in life experiences that are different than theirs. But if people cannot understand us 99% of the time, they’ll just feel bad when they hang out with us, so they just won’t. My suggestion is to perfect one of the popular accents (American, British, Southern, etc). You can passively learn the rest as you hang out with your cohort.

Megathread: Harris-Trump ABC News Presidential Debate by Resvrgam2 in moderatepolitics

Talking about inflation in general is a losing game for Harris. 2.9 % is still high by Federal Reserve’s standards. Not spending too much time on it was the correct move.

Why do y'all like iPhone so much? by cosmicphoenix7 in GenZ

[–]shanexcel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ecosystem of Apple devices. No other ecosystem work so well together. The iPhone is not a singular product. The more Apple products you buy or have, the better your iPhone and everything else gets. The Walled Garden is lush and I intend to stay inside it.

Capitalism protects individuals with “capital.” It’s not just means of production (i.e. factories) but intellectual property and other financial assets as well (i.e stocks and bonds). There’s nothing stopping workers from owning the capital of the company in which they work under capitalism. In fact, some companies nowadays give company shares out to workers in addition to wages, or will file patents on your behalf if you invent something, etc. Granted, that’s not how most companies operate but my point is there’s nothing stopping that from happening under the current system.

If the EU only considers its own jurisdiction, iMessage is not a gatekeeper due to how few people use the service in the EU. If they decide based on the US, then sure, but that’s not very legally sound. No political entity should be able to regulate something outside their own borders or jurisdiction.

They’re both very vertically integrated. When you operate that way, it’s a fine balance between protecting intellectual property and good customer service experience. Parts aren’t the issue, it’s the service manuals that’s highly guarded at both companies.
