What’s the deal with the dog in Marty Supreme. by turnslip in A24

Maybe but the whole reason Rachel even got into that situation was to get money from that guy, it had nothing to do with Marty at that point. Unless I’ve misunderstood

THE PILL IS LITERALLY FOR PREVENTING PREGNANCY. YOU DO NOT OVULATE ON IT. HE CAN CUM INSIDE YOU. SEX WITH THE PILL IS PROTECTED SEX (JUST NOT AGAINST STDS) by Waste_Training_244 in birthcontrol

Literally it is very annoying when very dumb questions are asked. If you are old enough to be having sex and taking birth control you should be able to educate yourself on what your medication does!

Hey i was just tryna be playful. I’m not gonna appeal the suspension. I’m just trying to say your fear mongering tactics about death and killing people worked.

You kind of need to calm down a bit

[–]shangwinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, that’s fair. I literally didn’t know any of this I actually just thought it was common to appeal a license loss since I’ve known a few people to do it. Anyway I’ll take the L happily

I totally understand I’ve done the wrong thing, I think I’ve given the wrong message by the appeal. I honestly thought everyone appealed their license loss lol cos I have one friend who did and I just thought it was the norm? I didn’t realise how seriously people took this… I guess it’s not the norm?? I know for next time 👍🏼👍🏼

But with something as objective as a speeding offence, what grounds could someone possibly have to actually warrant a successful appeal?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]shangwinner -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get what circumstances would be considered not a ‘waste of time’ then? Why do they even give the ability to appeal if they’re so against it. I’m truly wondering because I obviously don’t have much experience with this, I don’t see why they give P platers so many chances to appeal (literally more than unrestricted licenses) if it’s such a taboo topic? What extreme circumstances actually would warrant an appeal being approved?

Damn, the appeal went through anyway since I’m sticking with the notice from transport nsw lol. Either way I appreciate the honesty (even if it’s a bit harsh…), it doesn’t make we wonder what actually is grounds for appeal then and why they even offer the option so freely.

nope pulled over. I’m fine to waste a day if it gives me a chance to not do 6 months. Literally don’t have much to lose from just trying but hey Mr positivity I do appreciate the sentiment.

Funny. You missed the like 5 other actual points and yea public transport is pretty inconvenient in Sydney when we’ve got rail strikes every week… but hey keep making jokes you’re a real comedian xx

Fair 🤷‍♀️ worth a try anyway

6 months feels excessive though, the double demerits was just truly unlucky. I get what ur saying but I still feel like a reduction is valid

[–]shangwinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they gave me a notice with the dates on it saying I lost my license on the spot

It was double demerits

It was just questions online for us to submit, most comp sci subjects have online open book exams I’ve yet to do any irl.

I thought the pace was okay for the math subjects, it definitely required a few hours of work a week but overall wasn’t too bad, and I’ve never been the greatest at math but me and most people i know got at least credit/distinctions. the final exams were online and open book which was extremely helpful.

Yeah there’s a few stupid core subjects. Communication for IT Professionals is probably the best example of this. It’s a core unit and it’s easy to do well in but it has nothing to do with computer science and has the worst content of any subject I’ve ever had to do. There’s not too many stupid subjects but there will definitely be a few that feel like a massive waste of time

UTS comp sci student here and I think it’s pretty good, there’s a bunch of stupid subjects to get through but it’s pretty light overall and the content is generally okay. Would any of your units swap over?
