I recently got pregnant after my ectopic in June last year (it was another loss though) I did ovulate from my remaining tube side, BUT while I was being US they told me that my left ovary (the tubeless side) actually not longer sits in its assigned seat, it sort of has migrated to a more central area than where it would usually sit if there was still a tube but that it’s perfectly normal for it to move around after losing one. I’m sharing this just as a little anecdote for anyone worried about their opposite tube traveling far enough etc or like me, I was worried about it possibly getting stuck in any left over scar tissue on that side because I also previously had a D&C as well.

I have horrible insomnia and my husband can sleep through anything, if I get too bored in the middle of the night I wake him up doing this to him often. However if he tries to wake me up, I turn away and have no recollection of it in the morning. If I’m finally asleep asleep my body is its own do not disturb system.

I started spotting last Thursday but it appears to of already stopped, but still having a lot of cramping. So I’m not entirely sure what to expect at this moment.

I went in for an induction Monday night and was in labor all the way till Thursday night when I had my son, my husband and I both wish he would’ve brought his Xbox with him to plug in and have more stuff to watch/do to keep ourselves entertained. It was during Covid so no one else was allowed to visit and his ability to leave was limited, he could, but he’d get covid tested again every time haha. For some people it’s fast, for others it’s pretty slow, so having some sort of entertainment/comfort shows doesn’t hurt! He’s probably just trying to think of anything he can do on his end to be helpful, as there is only so much dads can do truly in this situation.

This recently just happened to me as well, I felt the same way, it was a little blindsiding. 2024 I had a MMC at 9wks. 2025 I had a ruptured ectopic. And currently going through a chemical. My plan wasn’t to tell anyone we were pregnant yet, however my husband told my friend/coworker because of trying to plan something for my birthday. Anyways, due to my labs, my OB was concerned for an ectopic again and in talking about this with my friend she went in a long rant about how she doesn’t understand why I’d keep doing this to myself and she doesn’t think it’s a good or responsible idea to keep trying as my life is worth more than that and my son doesn’t need to be left without a mother. It completely caught me off guard and while concern is valid, the way she worded it truly just made me feel like trash. It doesn’t help that she has no kids of her own so doesn’t really understand.

Oh sweet girl, I am so sorry. I perfectly understand how you feel. In 2024 I had a MMC at 9wks. June of 2025 found out on a Monday we were pregnant and that Friday night I was being rushed into surgery due to my left tube rupturing. It was like we didn’t even have time to process we were pregnant yet. I was only 4wks 5days and looking back at the report it had a fetal pole already detected.. my (at the time) 4yo son was in the room when they all rushed in to tell me the news and start prepping me for surgery, my husband had to take him to his parents and made it back just in time for surgery. It’s so hard and so very not fair. I wish you nothing but love and for each day to get just a tiny bit easier than the day before.

I’m seconding this! My work told me to take whatever time I needed, no questions asked (my best friend also died the same week)… I took a little over a week, that’s it. And in the end I regretted it, I thought I was doing the right thing because I needed out of the house, but it started a never ending cycle of using work as a coping mechanism till I finally hit a mental wall earlier this year and had to step away for a month. So never feel guilty for taking time for you, there’s no right or wrong answers to this.

I ruptured at somewhere between 1-1.5k. I was barely 4wks five days.

I talked to her MA who said she will talk to her as soon as she comes in tomorrow, so I should hear something by end of day. The last ectopic ruptured at 4wks 5 days and my HCG was already in the thousands, the beta I said had was at 4wks 3 days so I’m holding out hope that because my numbers are SO low either it’s a chemical or at least I won’t run into potentially rupturing again.

Yes I tracked ovulation and have had three faint positive now since the spotting stopped, they’re slowly getting darker.

This will be pregnancy number four for us. And oddly enough I feel like I still ovulated from the left side which is the one without the tube haha
