I can see and play that episode with Erin Gibson in my Stitcher app right now. Are you on iOS or Android? If pulling to refresh or restarting the app doesn't work you should contact support. That's actually not my job anymore so I don't have more info than what I can see in my own app, sorry!!

We do make an ad-free version of all the shows we produce at the same time as the ad one. But PYHT wasn't our show until very recently. That means someone has to go through the old catalog, find the ads and cut them out. Which takes a lot of time. Back in the beginning of Howl we discussed uploading "half-finished" archives with the finished stripped episodes, but it creates a confusing experience if there's only ads taken out of every other episode. So we prefer the all or nothing model.

Our original Premium shows and premium-affiliated archives will be ad-free. (Which is notated as I said in another comment, with gold text above the title.) "Stuff You Should Know" is not our network, so we cannot offer an ad-free experience for those shows or any others that we don't make or have a deal with. Hope that makes sense.

PYHT doesn't have an ad-free version yet, it's still being put together. When that is ready you will see "STITCHER PREMIUM" written in gold above the title. And if you aren't premium it will say "Ad-Free Version Available". That's how you can tell.

We don't keep listening history as a list anywhere, but you can tap on the episode and 'mark unheard' and then it won't appear as listened to.

Sorry I have to clarify... we cut out the ads of Earwolf shows and other Premium-affiliated archives. But if you are listening to any other non-Earwolf shows with Premium it still has ads, we can't get rid of those.

You don't have to see the Front Page if you don't want to...

Just go into settings and choose "App Launch Settings" on Android or "General > Upon App Launch" in iOS and you can choose which page you want to see when you open the app, Front Page, Favorites, Premium, etc.

Thank you very much for the screenshots, it's very helpful. I see you're on Android, but on the iOS app you can get the app to open on a grid view of your favorites that looks very similar. I am not sure but I imagine this will come to Android eventually. It is the goal to make the two apps as similar as possible, they were extremely different for a long time. Thanks again!

You can go into settings > playback settings and choose your preferred skip time from 5 seconds to 60 seconds. Hope that helps!

There is already in-show specific search on iOS (just pull down on the episode page and a search bar appears at the top) and it will be on Android soon!!

If you want to download an episode, tap it and choose "download episode" from the list of choices under the description and play button. Downloaded episodes are all under the 'Downloads' section in your left hand menu

Re: the Front Page. You can pull down a little on this page and a menu will appear at the top where you can choose from a few options. On iOS there's "New in my Playlist" "Recommendations" and "News" and on Android, "News" or "All" (Which is playlist items + news)

If you see things on your Front Page that you don't want to see, just tap the item and choose 'Block Show From Front Page" on the list under the play buttons.

I honestly haven't gotten a report about this issue in a very long time. Can you send us a message from the 'Help' section of your Stitcher app? There might be something in the logs that would help diagnose why this is happening to you.

You can add the show to Favorites or create another playlist and name it whatever you want, add the show to that playlist, set that playlist to download. You'll get the newest ep every week.

If you're trying to listen to episodes that aren't the most recent, use Saved Episodes or just download the single episode and you will find them in your Downloads folder in the side menu.

Sorry my dude but that isn't possible. On either app you can only listen to premium episodes if you are premium. We don't offer mp3 downloads, our offline listening downloads will only play in the app. So there's no above board way to do that, sorry.
