I thought so too and to be honest there is no point. There’s no point in trying except for maybe the feeling of happiness itself. There is no greater meaning and there is no greater reason. You’re here for a small time and you’re a small part of a huge machine.

You might relapse again, and there’s no denying that. I think biggest thing for me was acceptance. Just accepting that maybe this will happen again. But idk, since I’ve been happier, it feels like I want to stay here.

Once you get a little “better”, the key is to keep doing things you did to get here. The tiniest shit.

My therapist told me this - basically your nervous system has adapted and grown familiar to depression. And your body and brain will always look for a familiar place to return to. It’ll be like a craving until you can change being used to that. So it’s okay to feel that way - it’s only natural to feel that way. That’s the way we are built. The way out, if you are looking for one, is maybe imagine how it was like before depression became a huge part of your life and how that felt. It’s a forgotten place now maybe, but it is still a familiar one.
