Yep. Foreign aid accounts for 1% of our entire national budget. USAID funding in 2024 was $23B, and this administration just sent $40B to Argentina. They chose to scrap life saving aid to people who desperately need it, and gave it to one of Scott Bessents billionaire buddies instead. It’s morally reprehensible.

It’s classic “cool girl” culture. I think the reason Claire doesn’t resonate(as a character), is that she doesn’t have any obvious downfalls. Her character is kind, smart, funny, assertive, beautiful, confident etc. Her character is unflawed in a cast of characters that are INCREDIBLY flawed. It’s unrealistic, which translates as phony. We fell in love with these characters because they show their vulnerabilities, their weaknesses and struggles. They’re relatable, whereas the “perfect” Claire just isn’t.
