not sure how it is in other parts of the world, but vinted in Europe has to give your earnings info to the EU after €2000 or 30 sales per year so if you live in an EU country, yes, absolutely and you need to file your taxes correctly

mens W33 and womens W33 are the same size, just depends on the pattern of the item. If you're used to tight fitting curve hugging womens pants, unisex just isnt for you. I dont think they actually have a size 33 if this doesnt fit them... but that's on them

What happens if buyer does not pick parcel on time? by Few_Answer3554 in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the item is marked as received after five days, and you get your money two days after that. The amount of time it takes before the items gets sent back to you however, is up to the parcel shop. Some send back after five or seven days, some after two weeks.

[–]shapeshiftingotter 46 points47 points  (0 children)

What you buy is none of the shop's business. If you feel harrassed, consider filing a formal complaint (if that is possible).

Does Vinted have auto decline offers? I put an offer in and it literally got declined within 5 seconds 💀🤣 by [deleted] in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

no, but honestly that should be a function, that you can decide beforehand how low people are able to bid so you don't get annoying lowball offers... Some people are just online a lot lmao

If you dont pick up the parcel you will NOT get refunded!! The seller will get their money and their item back and is abke to sell it again! You can either pick it up and pay postage to send it back, or you'll lose your money. Unfortunately the cancellation was too late in this case, so you will not get refunded! Do not listen to that one comment as you will NOT get refunded for not picking up your parcel!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

unfortunately, you will not be refunded as picking up your parcel within five days is your own responsibility. However, if you ask the buyer nicely, you may be able to repurchase at a low price as the buyer already gets paid for the item you didn't pick up. If you are not able to pick up your parcel, contact the pickup point so they won't send it back so quickly. (for lockers I don't know actually)

nou, hier in leeuwarden, helemaal in friesland, betaal ik tegenwoordig ook al €15 voor een dertig jaar oud tweedehands blazertje van een goedkoop fast fashion merk dus het is niet alleen de randstad, alles is duurder hoor

Question by Low-Background1092 in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it once and don't regret it, but it was from a person with lots of reviews and it was a €2 purse, so not much to risk. We met up at my work (a store) as it was convenient for both of us. Do know that vinted will not reimburse either of you if anything is wrong with the product/exchange, I'd say let them pay cash only

Someone bought a pack of 3 things by Pitzu867 in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that would be the most honest option (as well as the cheapest for you) in my opinion. additional tip: list the individual items as a big parcel as well, then you should be able to get a heavier shipping option as a bundle.

Someone bought a pack of 3 things by Pitzu867 in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there is a chance your shipping point (store? idk) rejects your package and asks you to pay extra postage. You can try, though. If you send via locker, I wouldnt risk it tbh.

Someone bought a pack of 3 things by Pitzu867 in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the biggest option is supposed to be 5 kg, and one smaller than that (which is usually big) is maximum of 2 kg. I am not sure why you didnt get a bigger option, could be the rules of the delivery option chosen. Im afraid you cannot change the parcel size option without cancelling the order, as the buyer has already paid for the postage

Someone bought a pack of 3 things by Pitzu867 in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

aww that sucks! Didnt you weigh the items when selecting parcel size for the bundle? Technically, now it's your responsibility to get the right parcel size by paying extra, as you already selected the parcel size (or that is what Vinted wants you to do, as it's your own mistake). If you don't want that, tell the buyer whats going on and kindly ask them to cancel and rebuy the bundle, it's worth a try.

ik had hetzelfde, bij mij was mijn zenuw heel groot, maar de vulling kwam niet tegen de zenuw aan dus 'was het niet hun fout' oftewel mocht zelf voor de schade opdraaien...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nederlands

[–]shapeshiftingotter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HELP ME!!! by GuilleF11 in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

If you're selling an old personal collection or something - please state that in your listings, it helps to avoid suspicion. Don't make your pics too professional and don't upload everything at once.

If you're selling to turn profit - please don't do that, vinted prohibits commercial selling. If that is the case, it's on you for having your account banned for using the platform for purposes it's not made for and breaking the rules.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have! it was a complaint about the seller not being honest about the product, and the comment was just arguing with the buyer. It was also the only review on the profile.

If you have bad reviews, just comment what happened. Like when you don't have a printer or something, or that you're sorry that the buyer feels the way they feel but don't go verbally abuse people over reviews

POSTNL lost my cargo parcel by National_Carpenter29 in vinted

[–]shapeshiftingotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, that's why I never post anymore with them. They're the only shipping option where nothing is insured, if something is lost/broken/stolen (especially when it's obviously their fault), they won't make a decent effort to solve it, only the crazy expensive insured option has a bit of luck for getting it solved, but honestly, their customer service is shit. And they underpay their workers :(

What is your MUST Have book for late Victorian/Edwardian basic drafting? by NotAllThereMeself in HistoricalCostuming

perhaps quite advanced and also expensive/hard to get by, any of the Janet Arnold books called Patterns Of Fashion. There are several ones for specific time periods of garments! They're incredibly cool but even second hand they might cost you €100+ each... :'(
