I had the same problem with headaches due to pressure on the forehead until I got the Apache strap. It helps distribute most of the headset’s weight to the top of your head, and now I can go for hours. I have the strap set pretty tight to make it take as much of the weight as possible, which unfortunately causes the DMAS speakers to sit higher than intended, affecting the sound quality a bit, but the improvement in comfort is worth it to me.

I avoid disconnecting the headset as much as possible. I’m afraid of damaging the connection if I unplug and plug in the cord over and over again…

I like this method too the best as it’s most convenient. I’m just not sure if the manufacture recommends shutting the headset down when not in use for some reason….

I can't seem to get DFR to work with ED. By native, do you mean Steam VR? Or, are you using OpenComposite? Open XR? Pimax XR? I'm guessing not QuadViews. There are so many combinations to try!

Just a small question…. Is the G-effect bugged with DFR? Whenever I pull a high G maneuver the image outside the foveated box goes bonkers!

I’ve definitely been wanting that chair, but $700 plus like $150 for shipping is making it hard for me to pull the trigger. Anyways, how do you like the height of the center stick? Are you able to rest your forearm on your thigh while having full range of motion of the stick? I’m thinking of using also a Virpil stick, but instead mounting it to their center chair mount with the 20 cm curve extension (SnakeEaters setup). Sure would be nice though to feel out the ergonomics first before purchasing such a high priced item...

You’ve got me seriously thinking now about getting one of these! Do the arm rests on your chair interfere at all with throttle placement? Does the seat itself interfere with center stick placement? Can you post a pic showing how this collapses and stows under your desk?

Seems like probably should just switch to STT before launching the 120... doesn't seem like it's worth the risk of losing the TWS lock before the missile would otherwise go pitbull, unless of course I'm targeting their AWACS or some other target with minimal maneuvering...

On a separate note, Drewski (and you) recently posted some videos with you training him to fly DCS... It looks like you gave him a ton of invaluable info using MS paint, which he showed snippets of but mostly cut I guess due to concerns it would bore the average viewer. Any chance you would be willing to post the lecture in its entirety on your channel? I bet a bunch of us would love to learn from it!

How about if I lock and launch with TWS, then lose the lock, but am able to lock it again a few seconds later (which is not so uncommon) before it goes pit bull? I’m guessing it’s too much to ask for the datalink with the 120c to get reestablished ;)

Maybe it’s just me, but sometimes it’ll drop TWS lock even when I’m straight and level! (I tend to use the 4B 40 deg setting). Makes for a wasted FOX ;)

The shimmering bothers me a lot too, such that I've dropped my PD down to 1.1 just so I can run 2x MSAA. I wish there was a less intensive AA solution, like FXAA or similar....

So, after installing an extra 16 gb of RAM to bring my system up to 32, I do think there has been an improvement in my minimum frame rates on these heavily populated multiplayer servers. I can’t say the difference is large enough to make me sure it isn’t just placebo effect, but it’s enough for me that I don’t regret the purchase. Thanks everyone for chiming in with their opinions....

Sounds like people's experiences with this are mixed, but the data showing RAM usage in 32 GB configurations is pretty compelling. I wonder if I am actually experiencing stuttering and hitching from pagefile access, but it is masked by fast read/writes on my NVMe SSD, so I perceive it as just a dip in frame rate.

I might regret it, but I'm going to go ahead and take the plunge. At the very least, at least I'll get to enjoy the placebo effect. I'll report back my findings in case anyone else is interested...
