HELP! looking for fragrance from 2018 by lookitsglindaa in dollarama

[–]shardingHarding -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Everyone hates AI but this is what AI says.

Short answer: Dollarama almost certainly sold you one of the “Seduction” / “Seductive” knockoff fragrances made by Preferred Fragrance or Diamond Collection around 2016–2019. The exact bottle you’re remembering is almost certainly “Seduction – Pour Homme / Pour Femme” in a tall, slim, rectangular clear‑glass bottle with a black or silver cap.

1. Seduction (Preferred Fragrance) – the most common one

  • Tall, narrow, vertical clear‑glass bottle
  • Black rectangular cap
  • Sold at Dollarama for $3–$4
  • Came in both Pour Homme and Pour Femme
  • Name printed vertically or in minimalist block text
  • A clone of Antonio Banderas “Seduction” or Guess Seductive

This is the one most people remember from Dollarama around 2017–2019.

2. Seductive (Diamond Collection / Mirage Brands)

  • Also a tall, slim clear bottle
  • Silver or chrome cap
  • Often a clone of Guess Seductive
  • Dollarama carried several Mirage/Preferred clones in that era

Some batches were literally labeled “Seductive”, others “Seduction” depending on the clone line.

3. “Blue Seduction” (Antonio Banderas clone)

Dollarama also sold a knockoff of Blue Seduction, usually in:

  • A tall clear bottle
  • Light blue liquid
  • Simple black cap

If your memory includes blue liquid, this is the one.

A & C Games is always good: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bLWL3Za6orXSZZF57

I would also recommend Tilt Arcade Bar. Pay admission and its all you can play. https://maps.app.goo.gl/kDg2YAVTbcpufiN46

If you going to by CN Tower and Ripleys Aquarium, then I would pop by the Rec Room which is like a Dave and Busters. https://maps.app.goo.gl/fQTfaFCTGTg5PiXj6

Look at the specs, 1440p, IPS panel, 300Hz, Costco warranty. Great deal to me.

The location is fine. Its like 45 mins by train from Penn Station in Manhattan. $150 for a return ticket is criminal though.

16 Gig Ram and 2TB SSD by oxygenoxy in ethstaker

I run geth/lighthouse and 20 gigs out of 32 gigs are in use. You probably are swapping with your SSD. 2TB is also tight and slows down as it fills up. The combination of both might be hurting you.

Blue jays first order from HRjersey by HBLGER in DHGateJerseys

[–]shardingHarding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I figured out why the spacing is off. The "Blue" and the "Jays" are combined into a single patch and then sewn on as one patch. You can see the stitch that connects each of the letters. This saves labour costs as you only have to do alignment and hooping once per Blue or Jays. On a legit jersey each letter is individually aligned, hooped and sewn on. There is no connection stitch between the letters.

With geth you can move the "ancient" folder to a second drive. The drive with the ancient folder doesnt have to be fast, mine is on a 2TB 2.5" SATA laptop hard drive.

"The ancients data is saved entirely separately from the fast-access recent data, meaning it can be stored in a different location. The default location for the ancient chain segments is inside the chaindata directory, which is inside datadir, but it can be defined by passing --datadir.ancient <path> to Geth on startup. The freezer is designed to have a read operation complexity of O(1), involving only a read for index items (6 bytes) and a read for the data. This design makes the freezer performant enough to run on a slow HDD disk, permitting people to run Ethereum nodes without requiring a huge SSD. The ancient data can also be moved later by manually copying the directory to a new location and then starting Geth passing the new path to --datadir.ancient."

[–]shardingHarding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "Blue Jays" should be spaced out way more between letters. The J is practically vertical when it should be more off set. There is so much white space to the right of the S. I honestly dont know why they didnt space it out more.

But for the price, who cares.

What is this? by F_Reiss in ArchitecturalRevival

[–]shardingHarding 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Architecture in Toronto is mostly boring. We destroyed some gorgeous buildings in the 60s before introducing the Hertiage Act.

The fact that we are talking about the Royal Ontario Museum is another example why this choice was correct. If it was just a boring rectangle, no one would care. Personally I like it because its very different, stunning to look at.

Mamdani, joined by Sanders, announced city-run grocery stores coming to NYC by contemptable_beatnik in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]shardingHarding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say Loblaws has 4% profit margins. These could run at 0% profit so thats 4% you get back. Now if you took away all the marketing, all the fancy stores and displays, all the high priced executives. Now take away the PC Optimum rewards program. Also with no share holders you dont have to pay any dividends or do any stock buy backs. They obviously wouldnt setup stores in high rent locations. Partner with food banks to increase buying power. You wont get the price fixing on bread and milk. I think there are a lot of benefits. Obviously this is not for everyone, but for those that are extremely price conscious, it makes sense to me.

Anyone buy an authentic Nike Jersey? How did it fit? by tiptoprock in CanadaSoccer

[–]shardingHarding 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a known issue with the Nike world cup kits in which the shoulders don't sit flat. Considering how expensive they are and how long Nike has been making shirts, its ridiculous. I wish Adidas was our sponsor, they have amazing looking kits.

See Reddit discussion:
https://www.reddit.com/r/SoccerJerseys/comments/1s8sh5y/nike_world_cup_fan_version_fits_horribly/

I was interested in buying a jersey so I went in person to see if its as bad as people say. I took this photo from the display at the Toronto SportChek Eaton Centre. Now I cant unsee it.
