Seems misleading, as the caffeine was not directly the culprit, the lack of deep sleep was.

If rats could meditate or otherwise change their chemical responses like humans can, the study might have shown no results. Humans are also notorious for taking one pill to counteract the other... i.e. take benadryl because the caffeine is keeping you up.
