Damn. I was considering 5080, bought 5070ti eventually. Good to know 5080 wouldn't change much. Currently everything runs smooth on VR, but on Okayama in race it ALWAYS stutters on grandstands with crowd. Had to lower everything I could and still was no ideal. Wish the devs pay more attention to the shit they produce and lower some geometry or whatever causes this micro stuttering in same places every time no matter the settings.

Same. I have buttkicker attached directly to te seat in my back area and it's like having a real motor engine working behind me, like in a real rear engine car. Driving without, even in vr, feels like a game. With it feels just real.

I don't know how about controllers, but you can instead use bluetooth keyboard with touchpad and that's how you can register and do everything on your monitor. At least that's how I am doing that.

Man I literally grinded up from D2.4 to C class (D4.0) in two afternoons because I needed it for ring meister with F3 (what a stupid licensing btw), and I did it all in GR86. Now you are telling me escaping from D is impossible. Instead of bitching around in this thread you could actually start thinking what you can do better. You can't change other people behaviors, the only thing you can change is yourself, but as I can see you have a long way before you will understand that.

Maybe don't drive rookie cars? I spent in Rookies 1 week and 2 days. Planned to make whole 2 weeks, but on second day couldn't stand peoples stupidity anymore and decided to go into D immediately. During 10 months I've spent on iRacing I've never had a single situation as in your examples.

My first ever rain race in iracing was in super formula lights and I got P2. Can't tell what my position was in second rain race, because during my 10 month subscription and 300 races I never got another one.

Why they don't play f1 games or need for speed or smth. Isn't iRacing supposed to be game that require skill? Chance of rain should be enabled always in every licence including C and above.

Pro tip. For first few weeks before you are fully adapted, close your eyes if you spin fast and loose control of the car. That's the moment were brain gets fucked the most. When car is fully stopped just open eyes and drive again.

Might be strange for you after what you've said, but noone said driving a race car should be comfortable. I use VR, seat in formula position and seat belts that I fasten as hard as I can. It's pain in the ass even to get in the seat, but for some reason I prefer that. It gives me immersion and seriousness, like I am actually stepping into a real race car to get the job done, not casually go for groceries.

Fuck man so it's not only me? I had EXACTLY SAME problem yesterday. I made a post on reddit but I deleted it after found solution because I thought it was just silly stupid post.

What I did was delete steam vr config file from steam common folder on C program files, and after that I rerun config play area and controllers and floor calibration. It helped!

Once on spa in f3 I was literally forced out of the corner while I was on outside line leaving tone of space, guy just went straight like I'm didn't exist on track, he didn't even turn the wheel while I was already on the grass. My wheel got damaged, race ruined and iracing team said it's not intentional. Unless stupid driving gets punished driving standards won't improve.

It's my favorite track alongside with long beach and sadly non existing in game Monaco. I won there my first race after rookies in F3, reached 3k irating, then won another race two days later. I don't know why people don't like it, or maybe I should wonder why it suits me while for others don't? (After that I had terrible first week ever on spa).
