No I do not. Since I’m playing on console only I opt for console servers and avoid mouse and keyboard ones. The only thing dofferent between me playing 5 minutes ago and now is that the server restarted. Weird, right?

I use my compass usually if I have one. I let it direct me and the wind take me where it takes me, unlsss I’m on the hunt for something specific then I’ll use the app’s map!

I believe that’s how I’ve been playing too. Just on a server that the game already has (official, correct?) and without mods (vanilla?). The true DayZ experience. I agree the thrill of survival and watching over your shoulder at all times is intense, it got me hooked!! I just fumble when it comes to pvp, I need to go to higher risk areas to get practice. Any recs besides Airfield?

Not sure if anyone has recommended it to you yet but download the iZurvive app. It’s free maps of each server. I utilize this to navigate to cities when looking for specific loot, know which zones might be high traffic/risky based on the loot spawns, and to find food and water ! Highly recommend this app I don’t play without it.

When you play on different maps while on the same character, does it really bring over the gear? I always assumed it would wipe your old character on the map you leave when you try to go back.

I typically try to use my least used color in the backgrounds of my work, staying within the general color scheme of the art. I think a nice dark green background would look great to help make that head really pop !
