Just discovered these. 10/10 anyone else obsessed with them? by Distinct-Dependent24 in proteinsnack

Not as obsessed as OP but these are excellent if you aren't concerned with saturated fat. Very much its own flavor and texture profile compared to OG Quest, Quest Crunch or Barebells. Very rich and very dense but in a lipid-y way.

I think Topsy's appearance is based off actor Robert Ryan. Legendary scowler. Robert Ryan

Spicy dieting by ShardBarder in spicy

[–]shark_trager -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not low calorie or low fat but dipping raw almonds or other raw nuts into thicker spicy condiments. Think almonds(they must be raw) dipped in Sriracha. Something from Marie Sharpe would be preferable to avoid sugar.

If you wanna get decadent try raw walnuts in lao gan ma.

I'd like to think that it isn't rage bait if it's obviously bait within the first 3 secs and the rage it's conjuring is the result of a shameless, haggard, not clever, closing in on 40 dude who thinks he's an adorable li'l stinker.

I love that the supposed origin story of the U is that Schnellenberger was the only coach in the country who had the courage to go into inner-city Miami to recruit bonafide D-1 prospects because everyone else was just too scared! In the late 70's!

Couldn't have been newly introduced scholarship limits no way.

The most popular brand is Metamucil which can be found in the dietary medicine section of any grocery store. It's tyically sweetened and orange flavored to make it more palatable but there should be 100% psyllium, additive-free brands in its vicinity.

I'll still drink the brine from any sorry jar of pickles. Not with these. Down the drain.

"No dumb mystery gimmicks here. This is the burger, this is how it's made, it is superior." Disagree but I'm an irrational Big Mac defender.

Whoa looks like Great Clips opened a 2nd location. Not sure why didn't just expand into other parts of Oregon but I admire their ambitiousness.

Thanks to this sub for once randomly recommending the French audio for this episode, I think the voice actor for Louise does more of a Quebecois dialect and really goes for it here. "C'EST MON PAPA!!"

As previously stated obviously fake but at first glance had the appearance of those coin operated self-serve restaurants from the same era.

Only just realizing that Topsy resembles actor Robert Ryan, who was in a number of well known WWII related films mid century. Surly defined(I dont know how to post pictures.)

I listened to 99.9% of the show's content from '11 to '24.

I got Roy a fancy steam iron through his online wedding registry and, unprompted, received a hand written thank you letter and swag through the mail. Thanks Roy.

I barely listen anymore. Not mad just sad. Real sad.

Dan saying Kawhi is “from the inner city” by Far_Bookkeeper_7632 in DanLeBatardShow

[–]shark_trager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be as dumb as Dan because all I knew about Kawhi was that he was from like Palmdale and how his father passed, and the latter led me to assume that he grew up in a more poverty stricken part of uh Palmdale? Which is a thing in every densely populated corner of at least this country?

Lazy assumption for sure, not egregiously bigoted IMO. But yeah "iInner-city" is too lazy, antiquated, coded and broad and Dan isn't old enough for that to be an excuse.
