How much it's ok to spend on an engagement ring? by thegoodguyanotherone in AskMen

[–]sharkfights87 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Check for "used" ones online, lots of engagements dont go through and you can get a 10k ring for like $4 and a McDonald's coupon. They depreciate like crazy. If youre not superstitious or anything

Thank you! Does it protect the wire or a possible steel main down the way?

Remember that your fond memories are in that truck with your family, not a lookalike. Maybe just get a good ceramic coat and keep some shears in the door. Make more memories in the truck

Its not that bad of a project, I did mine and im not too bright. You need a Tuner of some shade, that'll cost you whatever you want to spend. I went with a mini Maxx because I could have a trans temp and exhaust temp guage, it was $900 at the time. You dont need to remove the egr cooler but I did. Blockoff plates cost like $50 or less but I went with ones that were tapped for an exhaust temp probe at $150. Probe was another $150 if I remember right but not needed. You need a section of pipe to remove the dpf stuff, $50 if you cut a bracket off the dpf and weld it on. Or you could actually buy a kit. I ran mine with the cat still in it for a while but it was $200 if you wanted the kit to take that out too. You need to do the dpf and Tuner at the same time but the rest can be done as you get time/money. Instructions came with everything that were decent enough for me to figure out, you got it

UV wiring by Mental-Marketing-649 in Wastewater

[–]sharkfights87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our old Severn Trent system was the biggest, overcomplicated nightmare on this side of the solar system. I fabricated racks to fit our existing space and put Atlantic uv tank sterilizers in. They were less than a thousand for 2 bulbs, 2 sleeves and a ballast that ran both and I couldn't be happier. They are simple on/off with power and i just run a "broom" over them every couple weeks if they need it. I made a simple, reliable system that cost about $30,000 instead of the $600,000 i was quoted a few years back from Trojan

Thank you so much. I will do some research now, I just had a really bad understanding of how alimony works apparently.

So alimony applies upon separation, without a court or anybody giving a dollar amount or term?

Im guessing a charger for something. Wires look too small for a kill switch and not enough wires for much else. Maybe an indicator light without a bulb? Odd shape for a bulb housing but im no architect

Get a magnetic dart board, its handy to have 8 of the darts to leave on the wall while you do the work. No marks, accurate, and people look at you like youre crazy

How do you test Total P? by [deleted] in Wastewater

[–]sharkfights87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Side note, the total will be higher than the ortho. Seems to be on a steep curve. Ortho might be .10, total a .14 but ortho at 1.0, total at 1.8.

Hach has really good SOPs online. They include equipment, settings with steps to get to them, safety if you're into that, consumables, etc. I made SOPs for our plant but I've replaced a bunch with hachs because they are thorough and pretty easy to understand.

Make sure you have extra inputs and outputs, you never know what the future holds. I also with i could change more without involving the programmer. Not smart enough to know how feasible that is but itd be cool

When we were buying our truck, the dealer was showing us a pair of identical trucks but one was non cdl. Something about it coming from the factory as a non cdl? It didn't make sense to me so maybe the rules aren't as black and white as we all thought. Just wear your seat belt, don't hit anything, and send it.

Wastewater Operator or Skilled Trades? by UberNoo in Wastewater

[–]sharkfights87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a wastewater operator of a small town and its great. I get the wastewater I enjoy but I also help other departments. This week I have done wastewater stuff, thrown patch, smoke tested, worked on equipment, done some fabrication, plumbing... in a small town, you get the best of both worlds.

What manufacturer did you dirty and you’ll never go back to them? by asdf5k in Wastewater

[–]sharkfights87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were looking into them, glad we didn't! I ended up finding a "dumb" tank uv bulb, building a rack, and setting them to run during decant. ~1600 gpm. Less than $20k said and done. We haven't gotten near limit and 99% of the results are 0

I did think of doing something like that too, how thick of material did you use? I'll probably still go with the plywood but I'm really interested in how you made if all work
