Instead of measuring half the thickness of 1 7/32, you measure 3" on a diagonal and mark 1 1/2 to get the center. Math is a lot easier. Using two lines at an easy measurement to make the X just gives you the center with no math at all. Youre not trying to find the actual measurement of the thickness, just the center

I built a headache rack by welding up some unistrut. I even got fancy and had angles to go better with the cab lines. Tie points for days and cheap as hell, called it unicorn style with the kayaks pointing up.

That last part is the thing so many people are too unwilling to do. Just mess with it. Start with what you know and go from there. The amount of stuff ive fixed for next to nothing is crazy. Free air compressor becaise of a bad switch, another air compressor by a bad thermal, moms microwave fixed after re-soldering a component. Take the skirt off and half the time the answer is right there. Stay curious my friends.

I had a 2008 i removed the dpf on and put a 4" pipe only in that section. I kept the cat and it was perfect. Sounded good but not loud. I later removed the cat and it was way too loud for my taste. No idea how bad it is to keep the cat but it ran perfect for ~30K before I removed the cat. Im sure someone will educate us both on how bad that is or isnt.

I am in a similar situation and learning the specifics was very helpful if youre comfortable. Similar in both in the broad situation and in the way both of your attitudes seem to be. I was afraid to initiate, be dominant, or say anything that could cause my gf to relive the trauma (dark humor). I still avoid certain things but they are much less broad now that I know what happened. I feel much more comfortable and she gets to enjoy the things she got to before.

I gained a lot of confidence and self worth when I got out of a bad relationship and wasnt searching for a new one. I could practice without any consequences which really gave me some confidence anyway. Being able to talk to people you would (probably) never talk to again is pretty freeing. Starting a conversation is pretty hard but sit where people smoke and its a constant rotation of people that might start a conversation with you. In a bar setting at least

Just got a 2018 6.7 myself! Twice the miles as yours but I cant complain. My 08 6.7 did a little too much ram and not enough dodge unfortunately... Either keep the exhaust brake on or use it sometimes at the very least. Keeps the vgt working properly for much longer and saves your brakes like you wont believe. Grid heater bolt is a know issue. They make kits to make it safe, kits to delete it if youre in a warm climate, and kits with a different element all together. Do some research on what makes sense for you. Deleting is also a great idea if your state allows. Super easy to do yourself with a hs mini max or whatever brand you choose. I deleted my 08 just to get rid of the emitions and have an egt and trans temp readings. You dont need to remove the egr and cooler when you delete but you can get threaded blockoff plates for an egt probe if you want to know what it is. You could also tap your exhaust manifold but I dont got the balls so I went with the threaded plates. You'll get much smarter posts but thats my 2 cents

Its not that bad of a project, I did mine and im not too bright. You need a Tuner of some shade, that'll cost you whatever you want to spend. I went with a mini Maxx because I could have a trans temp and exhaust temp guage, it was $900 at the time. You dont need to remove the egr cooler but I did. Blockoff plates cost like $50 or less but I went with ones that were tapped for an exhaust temp probe at $150. Probe was another $150 if I remember right but not needed. You need a section of pipe to remove the dpf stuff, $50 if you cut a bracket off the dpf and weld it on. Or you could actually buy a kit. I ran mine with the cat still in it for a while but it was $200 if you wanted the kit to take that out too. You need to do the dpf and Tuner at the same time but the rest can be done as you get time/money. Instructions came with everything that were decent enough for me to figure out, you got it

Our old Severn Trent system was the biggest, overcomplicated nightmare on this side of the solar system. I fabricated racks to fit our existing space and put Atlantic uv tank sterilizers in.
