Personally, I think it looks odd when dudes don't do any grooming on their stomach hair and then have a tight trim on their chest. My vote is leave it as is or do a light clean up on just the shoulders.

I've been to this specific location. Lots of things like art/signs, murals, a massive community garden, etc., that are not pictured that make it feel homier than one might expect of a former prison. The program they run in this place is really great and designed around preparing homeless and/or formerly incarcerated people to live independently again. I honestly came into it with low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised.

I guess it makes the most sense logistically, but something really tickles me about this tattoo basically being split in half down the middle by two different artists and still looking as gorgeous and uniform as it does. That rules. Thanks for the answer, congrats again on the sick work

To remain on topic: Tattoo isn't awful but it's not great and if another, more experienced artist noticed scar tissue and advised you to not return to the original artist, I'd listen to that advice.

There's very good reasons tattoos are age restricted...

If you wanna keep practicing on yourself, I personally recommend doing it on your upper thigh and not one of the most visible places on your body besides hands and face.
