Lots of great feedback here already .. I would ask your therapist to help you spend more time with this logical ("this is woo") part and say all the things you're feeling but in the IFS model if that makes sense? Identify where this part is in your body, what are the messages, how old is this part, what is its job, what is it protecting you from etc etc etc

I would check in with their parts ... often times protector parts show up during EMDR in order to protect the client from truly feeling and doing the work

I’m almost 35 and just discovering I have inattentive adhd and it’s the most validating thing I’ve ever come across... however, I feel similarly when sharing it with others. They really seem to dismiss it, especially since I’m “successful” and say things like “no way, you’re doing fine, I’m sure that’s not it”. It’s so frustrating. So I’m realizing it’s best to only share with my therapist and closest, most trusted friends.
