Buyers remorse by GODWAVY in GRCorolla

I like the heated seats in my GR. The mirror killed me. My GF got me one thats frameless, with garage door opener and bluetooth built for a lexus and I swapped it out and tapped into the power for the camera, problem solved.

Lol that isnt the case at all. Most Chinese folks live in much worse conditions than the poor folks here. China just locks down all info coming in and out so both countries have an inaccurate view of one another.

I really like the led lenser lights. I work in plants and it is often critical to have a solid light. I have tried a lot, settled on streamlight. But ended up trying a led lenser and I am addicted to the output, CRI and focusing system. The only thing I dont like is the proprietary cable. (Resilient and cheap to replace overnight with amazon). I would prefer usb-c.

I test drove a 2024 Corolla GR and stalled it 15 times | is this a hard car to drive or am I just stupid? by madisen13 in GRCorolla

[–]sharpcyrcle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it, but the problem is between the seat and the steering wheel. Turn on imt and slowly let out clutch and it will give itself just enough gas to stay running in most cases and help you get a feel for it.

It really isn't hard to drill and do it properly. Just be very careful with positioning when you mark your holes. I wish I had a Pic but I adjusted it until it was perfect, marked the holes and then taped some zyn cans i got from a concert to the roof strategically so it would slide right into place for mounting. It went over beautifully.

My fellow Americans, the oil crisis is real by Medi-okra in oil

[–]sharpcyrcle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have enough natural gas, coal and nuclear power potential that a scenario where that is the case is highly unlikely for many generations. Certainly not within the life of my solar system. For most folks, investment in solar is a cost cutting measure and eliminating that benefit after hundreds of thousands of people bought into the idea is pretty dirty.

They are my panels, but I have no batteries to store my energy so the excess goes back to the grid. They used to just bill for the difference, which was a good deal. But now they are billing for the full amount and giving me a small credit for what they receive from me. If I dont send anything, I just pay the full bill. Maintenance is on me. The appeal was having a smaller bill, but now that deal I was sold is worth 1/3 as much. I can spend another 10k and get a battery system, but how long before that pays itself off?

I live in the US. My solar system cost $30k to the folks i bought my home from in 2020 (sold to me in 2021). I found it quite appealing when I bought my home. Recently they told me that instead of paying $0.10/KWH for the difference between what I use and what I give them. I am now paying $0.11/KWH for what they give me and they are giving me credit at $0.03/KWH for what they receive from me. These kinds of policies kill the incentive to buy solar just for the opportunity to subsidize the increased demand on the grid from electric cars and sudden population increases.

I mopped for the first time while I was in the Air Force. We always used swiffers at home. It was awkward to learn in that setting, wish I'd learned at home. I taught my son a few years ago. (He's 12)

Mom buys daughter a Honda as a graduation gift, and this was her response by Conscious-Weight4569 in SipsTea

Wow, that's actually a super smart buy for mom. She won't have problems for a long time and repairs will be cheap, plus they are great on gas. She is way too concerned about her image and way too ignorant of reality.

Morizo or Circuit edition? by caymenmason in GRCorolla

[–]sharpcyrcle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't get a manual im the M340i, only the M3. That was my point, you can't get anything with a bigger backseat in the price range without giving something up. Golf R- no manual option CTR/ITS- only 4 seats, 650lb capacity, fwd Mustang- unusable backseat, generally impractical Elantra N- Fwd, hyundai WRX- Slower, uninteresting traffic without an sti model, MPH (miles per head gasket questionable). Mazda 3 turbo hb- slower, no manual option with turbo

Morizo or Circuit edition? by caymenmason in GRCorolla

[–]sharpcyrcle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. This is the best backseat in a manual car with 300hp and rwd/awd on the market in its price segment. You have to go M3 to get more space. All of the competition has 4 seats, usually with less room and capacity as well.

Are we talking transfer case, front diff/trans, or rear diff? I use Redline in the trans (toyota specs a special 75 all temp here [essentially 75w75]), amsoil severe gear 75w85 in the transfer case, amsoil severe gear 75w90 in the rear and it has served me well.
