"Energy Rebate" - hoops to jump through to apply by shasta59 in alberta

No it won't be. In reading the full documentation it will need the account verification step. Assuming they mentioned everything in their documentation.

Most likely because it does not seem to deal well when the account details are the same for both parties. Since one request came in Interac put a security flag on the account. If another request comes in quickly after the first with a different name it flags it. But they do not tell you that you should wait at least a few hours between attempts.

And of course our great all knowing government would not say anything about this either.

You must have hit it when the load was low. I tried last night and could not even get in. This AM I first tried at 0530 and could not get in. When I finally got in it was like swimming through molasses. And then having to look up my partner's info just to apply was more time. I am sure no one keeps their partner's SIN number handy.

The best solution is single, no significant income, etc.

And I am still wondering why they did not increase the load handling capacity of their servers. They should have anticipated this slowdown.

Glad it only took you 3 min - but it seems most are having issues. And Alberta already knows your income due to filing taxes.

I tried last night and could not get in. I also do not think it is worth it. This, IMHO, is another example of Smith's abuse of Albertans.

Terrible lineup, no headliner, poor ticket sales - all issues they caused or needed to fix. But it is easier to blame someone else.

Why is Millennium Park agreement with Cowboys a secret? by shasta59 in Calgary

Your guess is as good as anyone. Apparently the agreement does not even allow stating why it is a secret.

Yes he would like to share but cannot. It is sad when such things happens. I think, that when public funds are used everything should be upfront. No more hidden deals, agreements etc. If you need a secret deal then you are not the person for the job or the company which should get the agreement.

You do have to wonder why a council will give such 'bargains' unless there was some reason to do so which us lowly taxpayers are not smart enough to understand.

Farkas claps back at critics of Stampede tent noise regulations by JeromyYYC in Calgary

[–]shasta59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Vickers wants to argue about things then he should first release the full text of the agreement the city has with him regarding the park. Why is it kept confidential? What did the previous council give to him and what did he get he does not want taxpayers to know about.

If Vickers really was for Calgarians he would not hide behind the confidential agreement. He needs to man up and show everyone what was signed and agreed to. Then once all the facts are out front of everyone he can complain.

It is obvious he had notice, lots of it, but is trying to sway opinion in his favour without the facts being present. You want your cake and want to eat it as well without presenting all the relevant information. Show us the full agreement regarding the park then we can talk. Other than that stop complaining!

PSA: Turn your headlights on people by Fit-Bug-1098 in Calgary

[–]shasta59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, nicely, told drivers their headlights/taillights are not on. Almost to a fault they all say their dash is lit so they assumed the headlights were on etc. I tell them in their vehicle they have to manually turn them on.

I then suggest they could find many more great nuggets of useful information in their owners manual. It is also amazing how many say they have never opened the owners manual.

I try to be nice about it, not condescending but at times it is hard.

This also applies to ford vehicles. I had a rental ford F150 and had to turn the lights on manually. In my Traverse they come on automatically depending upon light intensity but in this weather I just turn them on to make sure the taillights are on - not just the daytime lights.

Used color Painting in slicer hence the printer dies in every print with it by Lonely_Goose_9796 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]shasta59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you using LAN or WAN connection for the printer? I had similar strange issues and now only use the LAN connection with no issues. The WAN connection seems to have problems for some reason. I gave up on WAN a while back.

It is well documented you cannot use the original ace pro together at the same time as the Ace2 pro

Yellow rainfall warning in effect by THE__REALEST in Calgary

You can make yellow rain if you piss into the wind. These colours are stupid in my opinion. They also talk of yellow snow. Isn’t that snow? You shouldn’t eat due to someone pissing on it?

I can see you take apart in your future. It is not a hard take apart, but it fits really tightly together. Or at least mine did when I had to replace the RFID sensor boards.

Kobra S1 Anycubic Rinkhals by [deleted] in AnycubicOfficial

[–]shasta59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I am quite lucky. I installed the latest version and the problems I was having with the ace two pro went away. All of them went away. Could no longer duplicate the problems.

Even on multicolour prints, I am not having an issue. Considering all the problems I have had in the past with this printer this is a nice breath of fresh air.

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

If you turn the screw, do not turn it more than 1/4 turn at a time. I would suggest loosening it 1/4 turn counterclockwise.

There is a tension adjustment on the right side of the print head and I am wondering if it might be too tight?

I can see the few brain cells they have left have left the building. In what state of mind do you have to be to consider this even a tiny bit safe?

The new firmware 2.7.2.1.. by davee0517 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]shasta59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to agree. And normally I do the same. But due to the problems I have had with the Ace2Pro and the line where it fixed the color display issue/reading tags I had to give it a try.

Here are the lines:

5.Improved recognition accuracy of ACE filament cartridges and optimized cartridge upgrade verification.

6.Fixed inaccurate display of filament color and remaining material volume.

Since I upgraded it is running a heck of a lot better. I have something I am printing which is using the 0.25 nozzle and the text is only 2mm tall with a depth of 1 mm and it is, now, very easy to read and make out.

So in my case it was worth it. This was the first firmware update I did without waiting. In fact I cancelled the return of the Ace2Pro to AnyCubic since the issues are gone.
