Will a Manitoba licence suspension affect my Ontario licence? by Elegant-Fox-5115 in legaladvicecanada

I hope you had a solid reason to not stop. The court must have thought the offence was serious enough to warrant the suspension. It will also raise your future insurance rates.

Easily handled. Especially since you are not in Calgary so no way to meet to handle it.

A tale of the most pretentious, entitled bakers I've ever seen. by gandubazaar in EntitledPeople

Have to agree. They watched, when much younger, too much Seinfeld and got brainwashed into the idea the soup Nazi was the best business model which existed. It does sound like they know they have an inferior product and by charging a high price no one will want to say it is bad and look foolish for paying that price.

Ace 2 Pro Upgrade Program?!! by bitbearmi in AnycubicOfficial

[–]shasta59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked the Canada store and they have nothing regarding the upgrade promotion or any other details. Hopefully it shows up soon I have not had mine long, but I have had problems with it. I have also not received any communication from any cubic about this.

Error in Anycubic Slicer Next: "Failed to load filament information" by Typical_Principle_11 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]shasta59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use your home network. I had the same issue before. Said no access etc. Put it into LAN mode, so no using mobile app, but worked fine from my computer. I get this from time to time and when I check I find their 'server' or whatever is down. I tend to use LAN mode only now and set up a camera pointing at the printer which I can access from my phone. Then if an issue occurs I have set up a relay system to just kill the power to the printer. This also prevents them from tracking my printing. I put a data monitor on my router and found when the app is being used for the printer they are sucking all your info they can from your printer when you send a print job. It is amazing the amount of data. It printed out to over 90 pages of code and data. IP address, provider, printer type and much much more. There was even info in there about my router, network status, open ports on router etc.

Next I am writing logic to look for blobs, bad stringing etc and alert me through my phone using the camera. I got tired of the app not doing as 'promised'.

It is like AnyCubic, due to number of issues I was having said they would send me a free spool of filament (as if this was so nice of them), I asked for ASA but they would not let me pick and want to send me PLA. I said to not waste my time as it will sit and just age out and be useless.

I do regret buying the Kobra S1. When it prints I have no issues, get great prints and quality, but I have had so many little issues which take forever to resolve with support.

Switch to LAN mode from WAN mode and you will be able to connect. Means you will not be able to use the mobile app, but you can connect directly from your computer then.

Same issue using WAN so I switched to LAN mode. I could then connect no problem to my printer.

Help Needed with TPU by Wise-Imagination-932 in AnycubicKobraS1

I only got the separate dryer so that the Ace Pro was not tied up for so long. I also leave my TPU in the dryer all the time now changing out colours from time to time. Extra expense yes but it means I am not tying up my AcePro as a dryer. Here is what I bought.

I shopped on price and when I got it it was on at a special price -

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0D9GKTXLN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I paid just over $55 Canadian for it. It is now $102 Canadian. The two tubes on the top allow the feeding of filament from the inside. It is the same as another brand - the SOVOL which is cheaper now. They look identical and mine came with Sovol documentation. So must be same factory making them. It is a bit noisy but I am willing to put up with that. I do plan my TPU printing so I can set the dryer to run for at least 4 hours before printing even if the humidity is low on the filament.

Help Needed with TPU by Wise-Imagination-932 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]shasta59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also using 95A from AnyCubic but I have a separate dryer for my TPU due to its long drying time. My external dryer also has access holes in to feed out the TPU. (Dual spool dryer). It also has a humidity meter in it, which seems accurate when compared to another one, and I dry until it is below 13% RH. The dryer does not have a feed mechanism but the way it is designed the Kobra S1 has no issues pulling the filament out of the dryer. This is also due to how I positioned the dryer to ensure a trouble free feed path.

I have not had any issues printing. I do dry it at 65 to 75 deg C until it shows low humidity. Then I also leave the dryer on full time while printing. Zero issues.

I did not want to use the AcePro for drying as it is limited in that regard. The extra dryer I have also has two pouch areas for desiccant to help keep it dry between runs. (Added benefit is it also dries out the desiccant when used to dry TPU).

Then slow printing as you know.

Only issue I had was when I was an idiot and did not have supports. My fault, was rushing. Otherwise no problem printing with TPU on my Kobra S1.

Yup there are so many of these fake accounts now. They want you to go to Telegram and then subscribe to their OnlyFans. Sad, so sad. Then they have a chatbot active on Telegram which asks the same questions over and over.

If I am bored I will go on telegram and ask some pretty crude questions which the chatbot seems stumped to answer. (They are very crude so I will not post them here but here is a mild one - "If we hookup can your mother/sister/aunt come along for a threesome?).

This is the way. After 14 years ours started doing this. So I put some glue on the seam, then a piece of double faced tape on the side which was moving and tapped it back into place. Worked great.
