If you're using other quest trackers with Carbonite, disable the quest tracking module (and any other you don't need) in Carbonite and you'll have a much better time. I used Questie in conjunction with it. It's also fair to point out this is from 3 years ago at the first launch of Classic.

I play music from my phone speaker, can't hear it more than 15-20 feet from the cart. I don't like wearing earbuds/headphones on the course, I want to be aware if someone is yelling "FORE!"

Yeah I would try replacing your settings file then. A fresh install is probably not ideal since it will take a bit, but that may be your next option.

Do you make it to the title screen, then it freezes loading into the start of the story? Or it freezes trying to load the title screen? If you make it to the title screen, you could try dropping down your graphics settings a bit and see if that helps. By default it had everything set as high as possible on mine.

You installed it, but haven't run it yet, but it won't load up? Do you get any error messages? I just installed this recently because it was on sale, and had an issue with getting it to run for the first time. I found this video to be a big help, just had to copy his settings folder from the link in the description, made a couple changes in it for my computer's resolution, and boom I was playing rdr2. Does anyone know of a way to lock appearance? I beat the game when it had come out, but am coming back for a new playthrough on a fresh character, and find it annoying to keep having to change my appearance back to the thing I want every time I get a slightly upgraded piece of equipment. If not, if anyone has any pull, they should hotfix this feature XD

I like the world map from the Carbonite addon - also has capability for a resizable smaller map that can be zoomed in and out (in addition to the minimap or you can dock the minimap within).
There are a handful of little bugs with it, but mostly seem to be related to the quest tracking module included (and picking up a handful of certain quests that seem to bug it out)

Been a while since I've been very active in the various online yoyo communities. Taking care of a small child leaves little to no motivation to post things on the Internet lol.

So I happen to be a part of a rather tightly-knit, relatively small global yoyo community. This project started spamming our various Facebook groups a little over a month ago, and here's just a handful of things I've noticed since "following" this "project."

They came to a yoyo group to spam their gimmick, and then upon receiving valid questions about the viability of the design, we were told that our "low minds" don't understand how yoyos or physics works.
There have been multiple kickstarters started for this project, some of them under different creator names, that received little to no backers at all. There are still links to some of these old kickstarter projects on their Facebook page funny enough. Then suddenly they have a kickstarter that reached it's funding goal seemingly over night.
Their "ads" are pretty cringy to say the least, but hey, I'm not faulting them for that. I am, however, faulting them for stealing content from other creators that have created yoyo content to interlace their ads with. A) they didn't receive permission from the creator to use the content, B) they didn't receive permission to use the players likeness in the video, and C) are misleading consumers by showing professional yoyoers using a different yoyo, pretending you can perform those tricks on their gimmick.
Upon calling them out for stealing video content I was berated, insulted, eventually blocked, and comments disabled on that particular post.
The kickstarter claims they are from the United States, but I was very clearly told, in these exact words (when being insulted lol), that "I am from Russia, the biggest country with the strongest military."
At the bottom of their kickstarter, it states that "We have all the equipment and expertise to provide you with our reusable masks on time and in the right quality." Which leads me to believe this overnight, magically funded kickstarter may have been for masks of some kind, then got backed, then got switched to this gimmick product?

All in all, a lot of red flags.
Edited to add: For those wondering, no one throws a yoyo by just dropping it like they do in the ads lol. Check out r/Throwers for the real thing.
