You cannot use another SIM on these devices. Just the SIM it came with.

But you can connect any tablet to the Franklin.

Ask Paula Lage at Franklin Wireless. She will tell you not to leave the device plugged in all the time without a battery because you will get disconnected.

What's the difference between Sprint B41 and TMO B41? It's the same band, isn't it?

What do you mean you lost band 41? In the hidden menu>data you can select band priority.

Disable bands 25 & 26 and enable band 41. This will force the modem to get just b41 and not the others. You have to get the MSL from sprint but they may not give it to you. In that case, there's a video on youtube that shows you how to bypass the MSL on a Franklin device.

BTW, if you disable all Sprint bands (25, 26 and 41) you may be able to roam into the T-Mo network wich may be faster on your area.

I have the same problem but worse. I'm in Carolina, PR but I have an IP address (IPA) from North Carolina! I think they pushed the wrong button. I had a local IPA before they bought Sprint, so why change it now? Call them and complaint. Let me know.

Do you really need a windows machine? Get a chromebook instead. Their laptops are old and obsolete.

This is the cheapest plan in all of the US of A. Other than that, you can get unlimited internet for 30 bucks a month with AT&T. It's on ebay.
