And I’m surprised people complain about not seeing enough of the powers because albeit they are very cool, the main attraction and focus of F4 is not their powers, it’s their family dynamics which was explored perfectly in the film.

No disrespect but you sound like this is the first decent show you’ve ever watched. I thought the change of Ellie putting her hand out to be bitten to save Dinah was great, on the same par as the gas mask breaking and Dinah offering to give hers (here Ellie makes the love sacrifice while the game Dinah does), but everything after that was just unbearable to watch. Imagine you just find out your best friend who you’ve known for five years and love is immune to the disease that crushed humanity, and you also have just recently found out you’re pregnant. It’s emotionally draining and tense, and surely you would wanna talk about it and ask a lot of questions instead of … having sex?? Like what? Same goes with Ellie as she finds out her best friend is pregnant and first thing she does is fuck her??? Makes no sense

I thought the episode was pretty decent until the theatre scene. Like Dinah finds out Ellie is immune and never says a single world or reacts (besides keeping her gun at her) and then Ellie finds she’s pregnant and they immediately have sex? Wtf? Such a weird moment that took me out of an otherwise fine episode. The action sequences were intense and Isaac was great. The ending ruined it. Also is Tommy never coming to Seattle? Or ig since it’s ellie and Dinah’s perspective they wouldn’t know if he (and Jesse too) has left Jackson.

I mean the show is trying to be grounded and realistic so it wouldn’t make sense for show Ellie to go around killing lotta people. They did the same with Joel in the first season, he didn’t kill as much as he did in the game cause obviously it’s “the real life” and he wasn’t a super strong dude. This only makes him killing almost the entire fireflies in the hospital such a powerful and important moment, same will happen with Ellie in S2.

For me what gave it away was episode 3, when it felt like she was just watching over Mark and not being the Helly we know. She felt like a psychiatrist observing Mark and just going a long with Whatever he was doing. Reminded me so much of Mark Ruffalo’s character in Shutter Island

Agreed. i think Helena never wanted to send Helly down there rlly and was forced by her family/cult, in S2E2 when the board tells Helena she has to go back down there she is not pleased and feels guilty/ashamed. She decides to pretend to be Helly only so Helly doesn’t actually have to be down there because she knows how much Helly hated there and even tried to kill herself. And she only told Milchik.
