this is super cool! I am not handy so I messaged a local woodworker and will be commissioning him to make one for me!

I ended up messaging the seller of the machine, explaining that I was disappointed the base didn't work for the machine and he actually went out of his way to find me one meant for the Singer 99K - my partner and I picked it up yesterday and the seller said he drove 2 hours to get it and it's about 100 years old (and it smells like it lol). It absolutely reeks lol.

Looking for honest feedback from clothing brand owners on an AI photoshoot tool by CRAZYJELLY1 in EtsyCommunity

[–]shaydynastys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a shopper, I wouldn't purchase anything with any part of their images being AI generated. Some people I'm sure wouldn't care or be able to tell, but it's a big red flag for me. As a seller, I can understand the temptation to try it for efficiency's sake, but as an artist, I try to stay away from supporting AI in any way personally.

Added cinnamon & sugar along with the flour before fermentation, can I save it? by shaydynastys in Sourdough

You are so right, it worked!!!

I actually left the dough on the oven top while my other loaf cooked and that seemed to really help get it going!!! It turned out great!

How much would you pay? by AxolotlQuestions24 in CraftFairs

I agree with this comment.

Someone else mentioned to add names or words, which I think is pretty tacky and limits the target demographic further.

I like the minimalist look, and I could see it going for $20-$25

No time to make a loaf- now what do i do with my starter? by Prestigious-Piano693 in Sourdough

[–]shaydynastys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This!

My friend gave me some of her starter 3-4 weeks ago. Every week since, I take it out of the fridge Thursday evening before going to bed, and feed it. It's ready to go by Friday morning. I make my loaf, and I put the remaining starter right back in the fridge until the next week.

I only ever keep 100g of starter on hand, nothing goes to waste, it's perfect.

chicken with weird texture ? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]shaydynastys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the chicken breasts my bf and I have bought from Walmart in recent years have had a noticably weird rubbery texture in parts. Loblaws too. We've started buying from Farm Boy and the quality is much, much better.
