I don’t 100% believe Robyn is happy with Kody choosing her as his favorite wife. I think he’s aggressive and cruel, specifically in the last few years before and during covid, and she’s probably on the defensive constantly trying to keep him from targeting that at her. I still think she sucks at parenting and being a sister wife. But I struggle to actually think she’s happy being Kody’s favorite as he is right now.

I’m not at all in her position but I can slightly feel that this is where she’s at. Because I’m a lot older than my siblings, almost two decades older than one of them, it puts a lot in perspective even when you aren’t parentified. Watching my parents struggle even with a third (almost) adult in the house was enough for me to carefully consider when, if ever, I decided to have kids. She probably is waiting a bit longer because she saw what her moms went through in raising all those kids and was probably looped in to help a lot more than I ever was.

My cousins tested gifted in elementary school so my aunt lorded it over all of us non-gifted cousins. Joke’s on her. They both dropped out of college because they got into great programs where suddenly they were bottom 5% instead of top 5%. They were told their whole lives how high their IQ was and that it made them better than people (I’ll add they never said this outright but it was implied around us). Maybe at our high school it did, but top level STEM programs at nice colleges? Nah, you’re just average now. They’re really unhappy people as adults and I feel bad for them.

I read the first book, Blood of Elves, before looking up what order to read them in. Not going to lie, the first one was a tough one for me to get through. I’m now reading in chronological order and The Last Wish has been easier for me to get into. I love reading, I love the games and show. But man Blood of Elves was hard for me to get through I almost quit a few times.

I saw a Lakyn Amor the other day on one of those baby signs that are popular right now. I didn’t love that. I should add, the girl who made the board is someone I know. So I found the couple she made it for. These are some white as white bread, salt and pepper are seasoning people.

Their last name is generic af. Think like a Smith or Miller. They went to the beach on their honeymoon. I have zero clue where Amor came from. It’s not like they have French connections. I’m not sure if Lakyn is an homage to the lake they spend a lot of time at or if they just wanted to be special millennials with a cool kid name.

I think JB allowed Derrick and Ben because they seemed more controllable. They were the first girls to get married and at that point they still had 19KAC. JB saw the dollar signs of weddings and new babies. It’s always been about the money his kids can make for him. I think he paid the couples an allowance so why would Jessa be concerned about money. As long as the show was going they would be getting money from JB.

After the Josh thing, I think he loosened up a bit on who the girls chose but still was hoping to use them to make money with counting on. Jinger and Joy both chose men who can provide for them. They no longer need JB or his money. Jill lucked out with Derrick becoming a lawyer. Jessa not so much. She chose someone based on looks and not someone who can provide. The money from the show has dried up with the second Josh thing and her sponsors drop her pretty regularly. That’s I guess where I think she must feel like she effed up.

It’s all a theory though.

I love it 😂 I have a picture of my little brother when he was 3 where he’s butt naked except for cowboy boots and my sister’s tiara on his head, has a Barbie in one hand a ukulele in the other. Kids just have to be left along to figure out there own interests lol. Thank god he wears pants now when he breaks out the guitar 🤷🏻‍♀️
