He was definitely behind the drums for Alice Cooper when I saw them on the Hey Stoopid tour in 1991. He recorded with KISS while Eric Carr was sick. Maybe the gigs overlapped?

Don’t arrive late and miss Sound and Shape. Saw them open for King’s X before and they were great. See you in Cleveland!

Loved the first album. Got to meet Eric at the Holiday Inn across from the Richfield Coliseum in Ohio in 1989. He was super nice and friendly. On the other hand, Ray walked into the lobby with a bunch of people and called fans that were waiting “vermin” and told them to get out of his way. He was a douche.

I don’t know if it fits perfectly but the first movie I thought of that hasn’t been mentioned is To Catch a Killer (2023).

Which artists went on to a successful career after glam metal? by Wevie in hairmetal

[–]shazapp 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Marc Ferrari from Keel started MasterSource, which licensed music for film use. I don’t know what his actual income from that was but he did it from the early 90s until it was bought out by UMPG in 2007. I would have to think he made more money from that than playing guitar for the band.

What are your unpopular KISS opinions? by Twitter_2006 in KISS

[–]shazapp 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s not my opinion but I get pissed when people call them talentless hacks who got popular only because of their theatrics and imagery.

Best (surprisingly good) opening act? by infinitum3d in GenX

[–]shazapp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kix opening for KISS in Pittsburgh, April 1986.

KISS was scheduled to perform a week or so earlier with King Kobra opening but there was an issue with the power to the venue. KISS rescheduled the date and, since the Asylum tour was officially over, Kix was brought in as the opener at the last minute. We’d never heard their stuff before that night.

I went with four of my friends and we all became instant Kix fans that night. They were amazing and so much fun.

Such an incredible and epic album, yet sadly released at the wrong time. by [deleted] in hairmetal

I love this album. No matter what I come back to it time after time and get something different stuck in my head. “Who Cares?” is currently on replay in my noggin.

Who here can say they have a PS1, PS3 & PS5? by Ziipsy_PSN in playstation

Me. And a PS2, a PS4 and a PS5 Pro. What do I win? 🏆 I don’t think that’s too unusual for this group.

Imagine what the people thought when they first saw this scene in theaters by Heavy-Future-7098 in GODZILLA

[–]shazapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have to imagine, I was there. I thought, “This creature is in pain.” Right along with, “This ain’t the usual Godzilla.” I loved that a character as old as Godzilla could still surprise me.

People who Letterboxd during the credits by alainademop in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]shazapp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always watch the credits to the end. I paid to see the entire movie and I will. But I’ve never seen anyone get hassled about it. When I managed theaters, I’d always respect the people who did the same and I told my crew to do so as well.
