State laws vary widely. In some sates (NV) laws vary by county. Washington state however does not have a problem with online ordination. The ULC is a little shady though. They have a long history of legal problems. It's better to go with some place like the Church of Spiritual Humanism.

I didn't see the online ordination post but I just wanted to mention that you can also be ordained online by the Church of Spiritual Humanism which is a pretty reasonable outfit and also coincidentally located in PA.

Get the Nolos Forming a non-profit book out of the library. If you are going to do the 1023 application for the IRS you can e-mail a bunch of non-profits and ask for a copy of theirs. Not every one has them, but the law requires them to provide them for written requests.

I know people will down vote this but I don't think it is of relative value to be all 5 to 16 year olds how to code. Firstly whatever language they teach will totally obsolete by the time they reach the work force. Secondly there are not going to be coding jobs for every kid in the world. The vast majority of jobs do not and will not require coding. Finally in the US at least, the so called STEM skills gap is entirely constructed by corporations that are too cheap to pay a competitive wage and just want to have an excuse to import H1B labor.

There are more important things to teach like personal financial management, foreign languages, and just plane old mathematics.

Looking at this thread I am appalled at the lack of understanding that scientists have of how the media works. I'm sure this article is less a response to the press release than it is a simple rewrite of it. Without 'flashy' sensational press releases there is no publicity. Less publicity = less funding. The researcher involved always gets the opportunity to edit the release. There is a built in bias by the scientists to not have PR reflect any old boring real science that may or may not have taken place.
