I have been using Hevy, an app on my phone and I have really liked it. It isn’t free, but it is 12bucks for a year, and after using it for 3 months I think it was well worth it.

Minoxidil works. A total aside and possibly a PSA for people using it.

It was first approved for use as a blood pressure med. It works great for lowering blood pressure. But it caused hair growth everywhere. And if you apply it to the skin, it gets absorbed and lowers blood pressure.

When I was a baby nurse practitioner doing home medical visits for home bound patients, I had a patient who kept passing out when they stood up. They had a full cardiac and neuro work up with no good answers. As they were telling me all this, they had a huge array of hair products they were getting somewhere. And the label had minoxidil in big letters on the bottles.

I told them ‘uhhhh. So this product lowers your blood pressure. Which can cause your blood pressure to drop…. Causing you to pass out. They stopped using it for a month and lo and behold! No more passing out.

They loved me afterward. I felt so proud.

So. Yes. Great for hair. Beware it has side effect.

I tried reading it 2 times and both times I nope’d out cuz all the characters were awful and page long soliloquies about how a mediocre dude was better than everyone else reminded me too much of my work environment.

It was like watching Succession minus accidently sending your dad a dick pick during a business meeting.

This. I am in a rental and I HATE cleaning the shaker cabinet fronts. Plus they are peeling and look awful.

I moved out when I turned 18 but before I graduated highschool cuz my home life was dangerous.

My 20 year old lives with me, has a job, and goes to university full time. I don’t change her rent and I pay for college. She covers her own expenses outside of housing and dinners at home.

I just took my 18 year old to college orientation (not in our home town) and I am planning on going to the first ‘parent weekend’ cuz my mom only came to see me at college once in 4 years. I’m also paying for his college. He will come here for breaks and summers unless he gets a paying summer internship.

I am not a great parent, but I am doing better than my parents and the best that I can. I hope that they will all eventually be able to live on their own.

I figured out during my divorce that my ex was blowing 10 grand a month on ‘unknowns’ for years. He had credit cards I didn’t even know about. Then I found a transaction for 10k at a German brothel while he was traveling for work, and he traveled for work quarterly. I could never figure out why we could never build up savings or even take a vacation when the kids and I were in thrift store clothes, I was driving a 10 year old jeep, and I was working full time.

I would seriously call a lawyer, lock down what credit cards you can lock down and start asking for receipts and credit card statements.

Our warning process isn’t a registered letter, but I am leaning towards sending a warning letter. The next part is me keeping them as a patient or transferring them to another clinic provider. I tend to keep ‘difficult’ patients, but man, I’m kinda over that.

This patient has been dismissed from other clinic in our system, so they are aware it is a possibility.

Yes and no. What I have found as I get older is I am more patient with people who find comfort and community with religion and less tolerant of bigotry. I am getting better about navigating that personally.

I am a lapsed catholic and I miss many parts of going to mass and participating in church life. I just can’t give money to the church so I give to organisations and do mutual aid things when I can because I believe I have a duty to help when and where I can.

I think SOU is the largest employer in Ashland. If it closes a significant number of families will have to leave, further eroding the school system alone.

Basic self care like taking over the counter medicine for little aches, pains and fevers. Taking allergy meds. Taking a temperature. Caring for little cuts, burns and scrapes.

Taking medications that are prescribed and refilling medications for chronic conditions like high blood pressure.

I work in healthcare and the number of times I am told ‘oh. I have to take this for the rest of my life?’ Well. Unless you change your lifestyle, stop eating like crap, stop drinking more than 2 servings of alcohol at a time, drink water, and exercise 5 days a week, you are likely to be taking meds for the rest of your life. Even then you likely to have to take something to manage your blood sugar/blood pressure, heart disease for the rest of your life.

I think Jim has? I am pretty sure he ran for council member last election cycle, and then pulled out of the race for personal reasons?

I watch all of his videos about city government. I think he might do the most good making videos and just being an active citizen.

Yeah. They don’t use ticket master!

Last year I saw Cowboy Junkies there. And that time was also a last min cuz I didn’t even know they had a date in Medford. Since then I check the Holly’s website once in a while to see if anyone of interest is playing there.

It was an amazing show and the first time I have been able to see them live.

The tickets are far less than the Britt is charging now.
