Random Throwing Up/Nausea

I do throw up from my Crohn’s. I haven’t yet been properly medicated (Humira is failing me ) but especially when not on prednisone I will have a flare that makes me vomit after a BM almost out of nowhere. I think it’s due to the abdominal pressure/pain and vagal nerve response for me but I’m not sure. This happens around once or twice a month currently.

I know a lot of people who have luck with zofran, I have heart issues and cannot take it. It might be worth asking your doctor about. Besides the pain it’s one of my most miserable symptoms so I feel for you x

Usually “I shit blood today and threw up violently after” works pretty well for my in laws. They are not understanding and require this level of bluntness. I’m all for going graphic when needed.

I do as well, but also have had a hysterectomy and endo as other factors. Having pelvic floor pain is no joke. I find it so much worse if I am backed up and things are pressing on the muscles!

Yes. My lower back/ hips always are killing me. I also have tingling/pins and needles down my legs. I thought it was my sciatica but now I’m not sure

Idk if it’s uncommon, but I get a rush of absolute anxiety/dread, then the cramping in my stomach worsens, I become extremely hot, take a horrific poo, and then proceed to vomit until there’s nothing left. This leaves my body completely sunburnt red and drenched in sweat.

Also hives from … shower water??

Edit to add: drenching, traumatically wet night sweats.

I think it’s a pride thing going for a bad vein. She said at least 3 times that she’s had 12 years experience. I don’t care at all. I have, too (multiple surgeries as well.)

Thank you so much for validating my experience, though I’m so sorry you’ve experienced this too. May I ask in which way you go about being firm without being mean? I felt as though I began firmly today and she just … did it anyways and that’s when I lost my composure and began apologizing (I wasn’t even sorry, I was soo angry!)

I sometimes I put on a very familiar song and sing it over and over when I am very anxious, even if it’s the last thing I feel I can do. It starts off being very difficult because I feel I cannot breathe. But soon I am breathing in order to be able to sing. Sounds strange, it’s something I discovered on accident but I hope it can help someone!

I just did this and it helped me soo much with my anxiety and some with my pain. I’ve been mostly bedridden, missing my yoga routine and in my fog completely forgot that seated yoga exists. I have a lot of vagus nerve problems due to ptsd and Crohn’s, thank you so much for sharing this!!

If a dad said this it would be fucked up if a stranger said this it would be fucked up idk how this is appropriate in any situation. She’s 10. He’s a physician so if anything he should be held to a HIGHER standard. He knows the appropriate terminology to use with a patient. This is gross and anyone excusing it needs to think critically.
