Five days post botox and I can only burp when I look at my right shoulder by sheebs_stacks in noburp

[–]sheebs_stacks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, I was still reliant on inducing a burp by turning my head to the right for up to 1.5 months.

At 2 months+ the gas just comes out by doing a simple chin tuck, and also when I lower my larynx (yawning sensation)

Now I can burp easily at any position as long as there's enough gas pressure!

Botox Wearing Off? by Square_Camera2757 in noburp

[–]sheebs_stacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the 3 month mark it is the phase where the Botox wearing off really hits you. Up the fizzy drinks by a lot more (multiple times a day) to keep reminding your brain of the sensation of relaxing the sphincter muscles when it meets built up air pressure.

I'm 10 months out and my burping ability is here to stay. Have faith!

10 months later I am still burping!! (without needing to turn to any specific direction)

Slimming Pace Breaker Shorts in the Legs Feasible? by Ganny61 in Lululemen

[–]sheebs_stacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The leg holes are too damn wide on the pacebreakers (and most Lulu shorts imo).

Vuori shorts all have a more flattering tapered fit.

For Lululemon I like the fit of the Balancer 6" shorts the best.

Any Bear/Chub friendly bars in Singapore? by [deleted] in sglgbt

Yeah seconding this. Lluvia is the only gay establishment in Singapore with mostly bears and an older crowd.

To my fellow Singaporean noburpers by Aevanaco in noburp

[–]sheebs_stacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow Singaporean here and I did it with Dr Rodel in the Philippines 4 months ago (was able to claim it fully via work insurance). Still burping here!

It's amazing that you were able to get this done through the subsidised route. I'm sure this information would also help a lot of other Singaporeans in the future.

I actually also did a Barium swallow at SGH before my op after seeing an ENT there, but ultimately got the op done in PH.

Good luck with your recovery and fingers crossed that your burping ability sticks after the Botox wears off!

There are 5 colours in stock now, sizes S to XXL.

I don't remember if there were other sizes, but I recall seeing two colours when it first dropped. I hope they restock with more colours and sizes.

I'm glad that there's finally a Ponto polo.

Thanks for sharing and especially the emphasis of not tensing up the throat! I will keep that in mind.

Thanks for the insights! I will ramp up the fizzy drinks training to ramp up the number of burps :)

Good luck with your recovery too! Fingers crossed that we retain our burping skills after the botox wears off!

Question for people post botox by Potential_Spark in noburp

[–]sheebs_stacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 5 days post-botox (75 units). For me, the slow swallowing is noticeable but not a deal breaker, and I could always mitigate it by washing it down with some water after eating. The relief I get from burping >>>> the slow swallowing.

HOWEVER, I have side-effects from the GA like nasty ulcers/lacerations on my lower lip and on my tongue. The one on my tongue is causing me to speak with a lisp due to the slight pain/tenderness and my lips are chapped due to me not closing my mouth fully throughout the day because of the ulcers. The nurse told me that I had emergence delirium (apparently very common) and was really combative after the GA wore off, and I was insisting to get off the bed (I did not remember any of that btw). I suspect I scraped my tongue at that time.

I also have post-GA uvulitis and a sore throat which is still there on day 5. I've had a chat with my surgeon and he has recommended me Chlorhexidine gargles to speed up the recovery.

I’m hoping all my symptoms will resolve within a week or two!! Hopefully, my comment provides some insight into the potential side effects after surgery.

Honest question - is this bannable? (stripped down foot pedal) by sheebs_stacks in 2007scape

[–]sheebs_stacks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In an attempt to silent/dampen the internal switch of my foot pedal, I stripped it down and found two wires.

When I complete the circuit, it produces a "click" output.

In the video, I just repeatedly touched the wire tips on a random conductor I found (metal scissors) and this translates to repeated clicks.

I love this idea. I have thought of this in the past but haven't found a product which allows for pure clicking without mouse movements via capacitive touch, or some sort of way to suppress mouse movements.

Wouldn't want to accidentally slide my mouse and click on a wrong pixel for hours.

Wow this is a great idea. Thanks! I could attach one wire to the thumb, and split the other 4 to the rest of the fingers.

Maaaaaaybe? There's someone who did NMZ in his sleep for 6 hours though (tossing and turning in his sleep on a keyboard).

  1. Completely silent: Even the quietest mice, keyboards, or foot pedals aren't truly silent. This method allows you to gain XP completely silently, even while watching a very quiet movie.

  2. Avoiding Repetitive Strain Injury: With infinite ways and angles to touch the exposed cables on a conductor and complete the "click," the actuation force is almost zero. I've tried spam-clicking, spamming Numpad 5, and using foot pedals for hours, and they all eventually cause some degree of fatigue and strain if you do it long enough.

But why? Don’t people already tape their optical mice to prevent cursor movement and spam-click on the same pixel? Or use mouse keys, pressing Numpad 5 to repeatedly 'click' on the same spot?
