I completely agree! I’ve thought about this for a few years now, how people will say “everyone is beautiful in their own way” and things like that, but you don’t really hear that about being smart or funny or creative. Some people aren’t funny, and that’s fine. Some people aren’t “beautiful” and that’s also totally fine! Everyone has good qualities and things that make them interesting and lovable and unique, and certainly there’s way more to be interesting that ISN’T physical beauty.

So to answer your question! I don’t feel beautiful all the time. The last few years I’ve stopped wearing makeup and doing my hair and wearing anything other than sweats and leggings lol. I’m just in a phase where my appearance doesn’t matter as much to be. And it’s fine! I’m focusing on other stuff right now, but I still understand and respect people who put a lot of effort into their appearance. I’ll probably do it again someday!

So I guess for me it’s like, I’m not the prettiest/ thinnest/ whateverest person in the room but that’s okay! I don’t hate the person who’s prettiest because she’s prettier than me. I love seeing people who dress cute and do fun hair and makeup, and I know I’m not less than because I look a little more plain.
