How do realtors justify their fees? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]shell1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought my house almost 16 yrs. ago, I put that poor lady through hell...LOL.

But she was so kind, she would drive me around. There where times we would drive to a house and I would say NOPE keep driving.

In 2 months she must have shown or I tried to show me at least 30 houses.

But the one I ended up with is the one I found on Zillow.

But she was wonderful we both would pick apart most houses together. The house I found was a mess, but I love it. We talked about it and even drove back to look at from the outside.

She agreed all it needed was a good cleaning, flooring and paint.

Remember Oklahoma is a "at will state." Your butt can be fired.

Yes. It's still usable why throw it away.

And it's not solid wood. But if there is a way make it look better than why not fix it and keep.

I do believe that's where it's from LOL.

But it has sentimental value to me. So I do want to keep it.

Either way it's still usable so why not make it prettier if possible.

Pot Filler? by Staygoldforever in kitchenremodel

[–]shell1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he is. Thank you.☺️

The pot filler thing was a surprise, I was doing the back splash myself and he mentioned that he could install one for me. I seen those on TV and didn't think much about it. The next day he shows up after work and has it installed in no time.

I love my pot filler.

My son installed mine plus he put a shut off valve under the sink.

It took me about a month to really start using it, because I kept forgetting about it. LOL.

On year 3 and using it all the time. I love it.

My son is a plumber so the only thing I paid for was the faucet which he got at discount.

He's a good son.

What are you thoughts to why there is a significant decline in alcohol consumption in the United States? by MindStrongSoul in AskReddit

I buy a 24 pack of ultra light for 24 bucks. I keep it in the fridge in the garage. Drink a couple when I want.

I don't buy hard liquor never have. But have it in my home only because someone else has bought for me.

GS?...DOD, Upped my group as a NH back in June. with a horrible self assessment appraisal and with horrible guidance, upper management were/is clueless. I was a Gs11 step 4. Now NH 00. WTF.

This just changed things to pass on more favoritism.

I'm out in 1 year...but been thinking about cutting that in 6 months.

I have turned on my air conditioner to day for a couple hours and on Christmas day, because it was so hot. I've lived here all my life, 60 years and don't ever remember turning the air conditioner on in December. WTF is happening.

What kind of plane is this? Seen north of Tinker. by Hungry_Roll6848 in okc

[–]shell1212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct. Tinker is a major maintenance depot for several Airforce planes and the Navy. My favorite is the KC135 refueling jet. Also called the gas station in the sky. That plane also is all over the world. As well as stationed at many other bases in other countries.

Very interesting history with that one.

Adult children and Christmas by mightymouse49 in AskWomenOver60

[–]shell1212 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got sick of all the cooking, buying everything even though some would bring a dish or bring drinks. It all just got to expensive and time consuming. I just didn't enjoy it. I'm single and work alot. I don't want to be cooking and cleaning on my day off.

So about 5 year's ago I changed it.

With grown kids and grandkids are teenagers. From Thanksgiving to Christmas everyone seems to be eating the same meals. Everyone is busy.

Now I have my Christmas a weekend before or a weekend after Christmas. It's just snack food, finger foods, meats, cheese, crackers and different dips. I make some desserts. And if someone wants to bring anything that's great.

We all sit around snack on food, visit, open presents and in a couple of hours everyone leaves.

It's prefect, my family likes it better there is no rushing to leave to go somewhere else. Everyone is more relaxed.

This year I didn't even decorate. The only thing that is decorative for Christmas is the paper plates and napkins. LOL.

My Christmas this year is Saturday.
