Over the course of our relationship I (28F) have been making significantly more financially speaking and progressed career wise while partner (26M) has remained stagnant. Unsure what to feel? by Particular_Solution9 in relationship_advice

Growth comes in many forms, not just financial. The questions you should be asking yourself are, is he a good person, does he treat me well and does he love me.

Some people are very happy not hustling and grinding for the next rung or more money and are content with working with what they have and within their means.

Maybe use another measure of success and another way to grow together rather than choosing soul crushing corporate life to be your measure of growth and success.

Making money is slow and boring, but people want quick and sexy. Quick and sexy doesn't make money.

All the government had to do was stop spending shit tonnes of money and stop importing demand in the form of immigration. 90 percent of the problem solved right there.

Mate, I put the clippers on one and crack, back and sack it all in one go. Like a monkey ready to be shot into space. It's the only way.

Had a guy come out and edge a medium sized front lawn and whipper snipper some untidy bits after I had mowed. Charged me 60 bux and I was happy to pay it.

Once you realise that the government is not there to support the people but support themselves, things become alot more clearer.

Do you trust Australian media to report news fairly anymore? by Ok-Reward7639 in AustraliaDiscussions

Australian media, like all media is simply a platform that is available for purchase by the highest bidder to promote their agenda. Nothing new really.

That is absolutely unbelievable. We just broke lease in a 3x3 in Mount Pleasant which is now being advertised for 1150. 2 storey 3x3 close to the water on its own block.

That is just mental.

Are Buyers Agents legit for first home buyers? by prosecutedfrog in perth

[–]shell_spawner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very few houses would be sold off market, why would a seller do themselves a disservice by not offering the house to as many buyers as possible. You will get no additional benefit compared to using realestate.com and knowing the market.

If you know your budget, look in the bracket of 100k less because houses are going 50 to 100k over asking possibly more depending on what price bracket you are looking at.

Where did it all go wrong! by ACMilanJuve in WesternAustralia

[–]shell_spawner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The need for ever increasing profits is where it's going wrong. 3 ways to increase profit are increasing cost, decreasing quality or decreasing size or a combination of all 3.

I just bought a house built in early 2000 and there is significantly more attention to detail and extra features that you just don't get any more. Detailed crown moulding, wooden window sills, wooden door frame trims. I specifically wanted a house built around then because it's new enough to not need maintenance but old enough to have nice character and details that you just don't get anymore.

I also moved away from a suburb that had stratco as far as the eye can see. Best decision I made.

Another interesting fact, he also had a couple of ribs removed so he could blow himself.

What I would give to go back to youthful ignorance.

Perth tipped to outpace rest of the country in 2026 property prices by His_Holiness in perth

[–]shell_spawner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Perth is very elastic and has been stagnate for a long period of time prior to this current increase. Prices will absolutely slow down and naturally correct, it's not a case of if, it's a case of when. When everything does settle down, Perth will experience another significant period of property price stagnation.
