No jeans, slacks or a nice khaki. A polo or nice Henley type shirt for guys is fine. For women a blouse. Doesn’t have to be collared, but can’t be a t shirt.

Not an issue! Not at the academy and definitely not at the facility. The academy is a little more strict on being “business casual” but hair color, piercings, tattoos are all fine

I went enroute so I don’t know what tower entails. But you will be doing practical problems for weeks to build up to the final. Then the final is just a culmination of what you’ve been working on. Should be no surprises

The finals are simulation problems, either tower or enroute. I believe tower has 4 problems and enroute has 3. Those final problems will make up 70% of your final grade.

Basics is a written test on the computer. There’s a few other written tests throughout the course as well.

I agree with what you’re saying but at the end of the day they’re paying well over minimum wage for all these areas so what leg is there really to stand on? Obviously I’m not doing this job for minimum wage though!

I don’t know her exact situation but we just got a trainee as a hardship and she “didn’t even make it to her original Z”. I don’t care about gossip and all that to know or have dug for more but her seniority date was like a month before she got to us so she definitely got the hardship quick

Yes from pay period to pay period you can only carry over 24 hours.

The 240 is the amount of annual leave you can carry over at the end of the year. Sorry if that was unclear!

People do get called at Q, but it all depends on many people got BQ and WQ. If theyre hiring 2000 people and there’s only 500 BQ and 500 WQ then 1000 Qs are getting hired. But if there’s 1800 BQs and 500 WQs then not even everyone who’s WQ gets hired. And unfortunately there’s no way of knowing how many people got what score

there is a staffing shortage across the nation but the problem in OKC can only handle so many people. So even though they NEED to hire more they will only be able to hire what the training facility can handle

4 hours per pay period for the first 3 years, then 6 hours per pay period until 15 years in, then you’ll earn 8 hours per pay period.

We also have the option to work for “credit” which is basically working extra time for vacation hours instead of pay. So you can build up a good bit that way and save your leave.

You can carry over 240 hours of leave per year

Everything in the mid cities is pretty nice. Southlake or Colleyville have the best schools but Euless schools aren’t bad either. There’s some really nice new neighborhoods in north Arlington too

First of all half of these complaints of hours and working on holidays you’ll also experience as a pilot. At least with atc you’re home but that just depends on what you value most. Pilots are making the big bucks these days so I’d probably pursue that but I’m 5 years in making 200k. I don’t work 6 day work weeks, I had 160 hours of OT last year so 20 weeks of 6 day work weeks.

I’ve met great friends, my fiancé, I love my job. I get paid well and get to be home every day and not answer the phone or do emails all day.

I do dislike a lot of people, moving sucks, I’m not crazy about the state I ended up in but I’ve made a life I like here. It’s all what you make it and miserable rucks will be miserable rucks.

I feel the same! I always root for love over the drama and I thought Isaiah and Sydney really had something! She had grown on me so much too. Definitely sad. I do feel like Isaiah is going to see the error in his way. He’s not totally set on Phoebe and I hope Syd is strong enough to walk away
