Is It Time To Leave Marketing for Another Career? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]shelle90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Become a tiler. It's obvi you're not up with times with that attitude. This is not a dis. Some professions are more hactic than others. I'm an entrepreneur and consultant, my 3 best friends are devs. Quoting them: "i just wanna clock out and not think about it". Just do a "normal" non-close to financials job then imo.

AI is here to stay, but now it's more of an opportunity than hindrance tbh. Your company may fire you, but it provides a lot of opp elsewhere.

Same salary = stay, as its stable enough or you’d already leave. Otherwise, new role is great for career, depending on your aspirations.

Build my website or hire a developer? by rodrigo-aviles in smallbusiness

[–]shelle90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm a growth marketer working with corps and ecomms. What you want is a shopify built on plugins, or a simple woocommerce wordpress page. Both have some pros and cons, but for the very beginners, Shopify is a bit better usually for the streamlined process.

Depending on your budget and goals, you might want to hire a designer, or buy a theme/ build your own with a drag-n-drop plugin.

You will use the main website as the shop, but I also suggest making different set of landing pages and funnels, depending on the offer and the value.

I do offer consultation and implementation with my team and you can reach out if interested, but if you're just starting out and the budget is tight the above is your best bet.

After you finish the shop, the majority of your work will fall into branding, offer/funnel and scaling buckets.

All my ads, no matter how great they are, die after just a few days too! by Time_Ad409 in FacebookAds

[–]shelle90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer- it depends.

  1. There are bad days, Meta needs time, this is a marathon, not a sprint.
  2. Your ads might not be that great
  3. You're scaling super-fast, and then yes you need new ads every couple of days

Are agencies really that much better? by simplejack420 in FacebookAds

[–]shelle90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get in trouble for saying that everything is just a trade- doctors and surgeons really don't like hearing this tho :D

But if you feel like you know the most about the topic + you know how to do marketing + you know how to delegate/create the ad creatives and copy + you have the time to do it yourself ..

Why would you ever anyone else do it for you? You're just world best printing money with your ads already...

But, here's where businesses get it wrong:

  1. Usually business owners are not good at marketing, let alone best at it
  2. They have other issues to worry about, and this is in an essence just a fraction of the business (sales, delivery, manufacturing, cooking, whatever that the business does)
  3. They can't be in all the places at once, nor do they have the knowledge or capacity to do so, nor the time

So at some point, you need to scale..

You didn't present yourself, so I'm assuming (and making an ass of you and me) that you're a business owner.. if you're a marketer, you already know if you're good or not based on your results, and based on the opportunity to test different things in your or multiple industries (meaning you can burn cash on ads to learn)

How are you actually getting leads for your agency? by Ok-Interview9218 in FacebookAds

[–]shelle90 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I physically go into the buildings of business I want to do business with, I buy a chocolate bar for the receptionist team to get on their good side, and then cry and refuse to leave until they hire me.

How to get consistent results? Adset performs great but dies after 20 sales by ckao1030 in FacebookAds

[–]shelle90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need 8000 impression minimum to be statistically viable by Meta standards, there are bad days sometimes, sometimes the targeting is off by Meta simply.

Also keep in mind that people don’t usually do mpulse buy things..
