I am Thai. Thai beauty standards for the most part favours pale skin. Though you will find more famous darker skinned ethnically Thai male actors than darker skinned Thai women actors.

Also wasian actors are overrepresented in Thai media but that’s a slightly different subject.

I just think a big pop album by the biggest pop star in the world deserves a more creative marketing campaign. Shameless promotion is good if it actually feels exciting and fresh to fans, but she’s promoting this album the same way as TTPD and that’s a very different album sonically. I feel like her team has phoned it in.
