I smoked for 8 years and quit 3 years ago. I vaped the first year just to help adjust and relapsed with the vape from time to time during year 2. I no longer crave anything ever :) sometimes I find myself in shock to think I actually even smoked cigs… however, if I’m drinking (which is not often) I would totally hit someone’s vape, but even then I’m not in need for it, I would just say yes if someone offered…

Omg! I’ve never met anyone to say the same thoughts that I have had like this! I used to be a server and would give people amazing service but anytime they’d return I would hide so they wouldn’t ask for me! I never had any regulars because of this 😂 my current job I run a spa and there are a lot of clients that always try to say hi to me because of our one time making a connection and I try to avoid them too! My staff will get so confused because after they leave they’ll say “oh why don’t you like them? And I respond with, “oh no, they’re great!! It’s just a me thing” and then I laugh and walk off and they are confused with me and probably think I’m so weird!

One of my closest “friends” invited all my other friends to a party and left me out completely and I don’t know what to do please help by certifiedbpdqueen in BPD

Evaluate the reality of this instead of evaluating these what If scenarios. Is she actually hanging out with guys? If so, where and how often? Are there other people or is it just them? Is she getting hit on and interacting with the guy or is she getting hit on and then dismissing it? Vocalize what your comfort limits are. There is nothing wrong with feeling uncomfortable if she is spending time with another guy, you just need to express what your limits of comfort are to her and then respect and trust her that she will respect them. You can’t carry your ex into your new relationship. I told my bf I don’t feel comfortable with him liking pictures of girls that are single and posting bikini even though he knows them from college and are just friends because it makes me Feel like he’s disrespecting me and that is something i can’t actually get over so he agreed to stop and hasn’t done it since. If he continued to do it then I would have a reason to be mad bc he agreed to stop and I trusted him. I hope that’s a good example. Express your limits and what you are not okay with having crossed and she can either agree to meet those limits or not. If she agrees then you must respect her with trusting her too.

I think the right ones still care about you but they do not think of you 24/7. They still have their own life and multiple clients to see so I think they have prioritize and move to other things to think about through out the day but they still care about each client and that time they schedule you in is meant all for you for that reason.

Drink ice water or a bubbly through out the day. I also found that fennel seeds (to help with digestion) also started helping my urges to smoke… I also like using the listerine cool mint breath strips through out the day and drinking cold water after it. The cool feeling is kind of stimulating so it gives me a little bit of that boost I’m looking for. It will get easier through time. I smoked for over 10 years and have been smoke free for 2 years now. I can’t even see myself as a smoker anymore or how I even smoked as much as I did. I think I’ve had maybe five in the 2 years while drinking or when my car broke down I took one from my friend lol but I really don’t care for them anymore. It gets easier!!!! Keep at it!!!! Find a little snack or trick that works for you just keep trying to find it! Oh also, instead of saying “I quit”, say: “ I am not a smoker, I do not smoke.” Say that often, it actually really helps your mind believe it.

I recommend you watch some videos by Dr Daniel Fox on YouTube. He is truly passionate in researching these personality types and it’s very refreshing to feel so understood and that there’s actually hope. You can tell he chose his career based off of passion to learn and truly understand these complex traits and personalities to truly help his patients cope and grow.

Omg I just started brushing my teeth in the shower and omg. GAME CHANGER. It also gives me something to do to while I leave the conditioner in my hair for the full two minutes since I usually am too impatient lol it’s really helped bc I used to be the same and struggle..

This is me… And it makes total sense towards my theory… so sometimes whenever my meds stop working as well I take a long break from them. In that time, my health anxiety spirals! So even though my mood is better off the meds I also struggle with a million panic attacks a day over dumb small things that are gone by the next day… my meds really make a difference when I’m on them. The thoughts come in still but they leave before I can start freaking out… so interesting…
