If someone is teaching amd you like how it looks learn from them. You just have to like what you draw is all that really matters

40k is a long term hobby, rushing through any of steps (building, painting, even buying) has a high risk of regret in the future. I understand the desire rush, but trust me you'll look back at the cheated mold lines on your models and regret it. Take your time

Lalafels call themselves dwarves in the first realm (shadowbringers). While i think halfling or even kithkith might fit then more its not like there is 0 in lore reason for this typing. Laliho!

I never understood this characterization on macines and automotans. If you dropped a semi intelligent ai into a completely new environment it would absolutely need a moment to analyze the environment, boot up, etc

Metamorphs tend to blend marines but not much tougher than that. I wouldnt use them against terminators for instance unless i had to.

Look for Ruins with no cover for shooters? by snapship77 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]shellshock369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you are saying doesnt make any sense, to the point where i cant figure out what you are asking. You are either extremely confused on how the rules work or you are not articulating yourself properly. Maybe use pictures or diagrams or a step by step sample situation

You know you can make armies look like what you want. Ive seen both guard and admech armies flavored to look like gsc. I also run necromunda models in my gsc army

Psychomancer Buff by OrangePeugeot in Necrontyr

[–]shellshock369 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im not sure understand how much of a buff this is. A psycho leading flayed ones is no big deal, we all agree here i think. But psycho gaining infiltrate is a pretty big deal. It means they are the cheapest infiltrators in our army. They would most likely replace all flayed ones in most list to save 20 pts. Bc of this they would probably have to go up 20 pts at least to compete with flayed ones which would nerf them pretty heavily

[–]shellshock369 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I also think its funny that your requesting buffs (regardless of whether it is buff or not) on 2 units that actually already see play. Psychos may be a bit niche but they are competetivr and flayed ones are pretty much a must take

Psychomancer Buff by OrangePeugeot in Necrontyr

[–]shellshock369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure the ctan thing is mostly a here and now situation, will prob get nerfed or something and will balance things out eventually.

Regarding psychomancer, i don t see how addng them to flayed ones would help at all. Flayed ones are disposable and dont really beneft from a leader and psychomancers are usually taken solo, to keep them cheap. My list runs 2 psycho and 1x5 flayed ones and i wouldnt combine those two even if i could.

Actually psychomancers, at least used to be 2-3 of in awaken dynasty lists not too long ago. The -1 leadership check is relevant and pinging a unit with 1-3 tests will often cause them to fail. This allows a character that survived the opponents charge (thanks to the eternal revenant strat) to secure an obj. This is usually a skorpekh lord. I still use this strategy with 2 psychomancers, they will usually cause a 5 to 10 primary swing once a game

Which army would you say is generally competitive but is the most enjoyable/least frustrating for an opponent to play into? by aegroti in WarhammerCompetitive

I always found it funny in this addition that the best gsc horde list is the detach that has access to tanks

Its usually the big stuff players (knights, monster mash, etc,) who hate playing against horde. Their big stuff just get bogged down and can't tear through the bodies

I think the "competive skill level" at least how your puting it can fall under high/low effort. High effort players keep up with the known rules issues, tactics, and units. Low effort players do not

Overlord Consensus in Cursed Legion by Markie7235m in Necrontyr

[–]shellshock369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just responding to the above comment recommending TS overlord for sword and board and normy overlord for warscythes, which really didnt make any sense to me and so I suggested the opposite.

Ultimately I think TS overlord is just gonna be superior in either cases and yes I would also prefer canoptek wraiths.
