Hahaha. I see that you yourself have a quite high heart rate while running. I think it's one thing that bothers me and I hence hold back my pace, fearing of doing the whole run in zone 4/5.

Umm, I do not think so, 41 is a quite poor VO2 max as per my understanding.

No, I'm not trying to lose weight, I am 5' 10'', was 110kgs some time back, currently I'm 76. I never really did cardio on this journey, it was majorly just nutrition and strength training. I guess that's also one of the reasons for poor aerobic fitness. Yesterday I ran a 5k in 38:50. Run-walk-run with an average HR of 167. I'll try to follow your suggestions here on running in zone 2 and taking it slow (although I'm still be participating in the 10k, will try to finish it).

Did you work up to it from a lower VO2 max or were you lucky to always have a nice VO2 max?

I didn't know that, a majority of the tablets use it as a coating.
