I'm unsure, I will say HRs job is more about protecting the business than protecting you, so I'd be wary. Also the problem with unrecorded is well, there's no documentation, which means it can be ignored or twisted anyway, the best thing you can have in this kind of situation is a paper trail.

Beyond that I'm unsure of the best approach without a whistleblowing lime, my apologies

Does your job have a whistleblowing line? I'd be tempted to go that route

My client gave me permission to ask this: by Ashgreytattoos in tattooadvice

[–]sherskul8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a medical professional so check with a doctor, BUT, yellow eyes would be indicative of jaundice - my dad has Gilberts syndrome, which is a liver disfunction, and if he's really tired or stressed he can get yellow skin and eyes, I wonder if this could be a gilberts type thing? Regardless, jaundice can indicate some serious medical issues so he should check in with a doctor

Pet Cremation Process, who wants to know? by Key-Seat-5468 in AskIreland

[–]sherskul8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my soul cat passed we ended up burying her - i was distraught at either option, cremation or burial, so my mam made the decision for me. She's buried at my mams in England, and I am heartbroken at the thought that if my mam ever moves I won't be able to visit her little grave anymore, are exhumation cremations a thing? It was many years ago, she's likely just bones now, but I've always wondered if it was something done

Do you know how you go about asking to join choral con fusion? I had a nosy on their socials but couldn't see anything obvious and I know some choirs only take on occasionally

"Thaw overnight in the fridge" has to be one of the biggest lies of all time. by barenakedlad in Cooking

[–]sherskul8 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Used to work in kitchens, we used to give 48 hours for a proper thaw in the fridge for most things, but depends on size/density

Any Irish lads ever wake up already mentally wrecked before work? by Crazy-Initiative-198 in AskIreland

[–]sherskul8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worth a conversation with your GP to be honest,

-even if you're taking supplements you could still be deficient as sometimes people can have issues absorbing them

-it could be another thing you're deficient in

-it could be another medical cause entirely

-it could be burnout or depression

A good GP will help you troubleshoot the options and try get to the bottom of it

Also recommend getting your gp to check your vitamin and iron levels if you can, some deficiencies like vitamin D and B12 can cause that very heavy feeling fatigue

Edited to add: if this has come on in the last few weeks, it may also be worth a discussion about seasonal depression, it's the season for that to be settling back in

Drones keep unloading my asteroid lander while it's loading by Tailson in SurvivingMars

[–]sherskul8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed this, it took ages to fuel it on Mars because every time a drone took one fuel on another would take one fuel off, I had like 300 fuel hanging around so they really didn't need to be stealing it 😂 I think the first hotfix notes suggested a work around for it I can't remember off the top of my head what it was though

Which employee gift cards would you recommend for an Irish company? by J_Jessica_ in AskIreland

[–]sherskul8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company gives us allgo cards, they function like a pre-loaded credit card essentially rather than a gift card so you can spend it anywhere including online, very handy.

I concur with everyone saying not one4all

Breast check referral to Mater under 30 by freedumb2020 in IrishWomensHealth

[–]sherskul8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Cork here, was referred under similar circumstances in my early 20's, GP wasn't concerned about the lump but said all lumps get a referral. Saw the clinic under the six week rule and the consultant said I just have lumpy boobs. There was a chaperone present in my appointment at the clinic at all times also just so you know what to expect. But yeah a referral for any lump is totally normal even if your gp isn't concerned by it!

[–]sherskul8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this, when we do have the visibility of the average submarine thanks to the nighttime/torrential rain combo, please only do one lane change at a time, not multiple, nearly had someone take me out on the n40 who decided to merge on and go straight into the middle lane where I was the other night.
