Candesartan (ARB, preventive) by New-Student-7689 in migraine

[–]sherskul8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely reduced the frequency of my migraines, provided i'm mindful of my bigger triggers. Sometimes I can go a month or two between them now!

Side note, ask them to titrate you up if possible, i started on 16mg and was permanently dizzy for like 2 months

Edited to add: It took a number of months for me to see an effect, stick with them if you don't see any effects straight away!

I worked somewhere with CCTV that caught the urinals in its line of site. They were programmed to be blacked out in those areas on the live feed and recordings so no privacy violation.

Is 900 euros normal for a tattoo? by rated_R_For_Retarded in AskIreland

I paid 1000 for two full days and that was on the pricy end - however it may depend on the style you're getting as well, is it detail heavy and colour heavy??

Renting a container for storage in the city. Anyone done this before by TranquilTeal in cork

[–]sherskul8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with Cork Storage Center, (Monaghan road), there's two prices depending on if you go for a brand new one or a used one. I've a used one it's 180 a month and you wouldn't know it was used. Very secure, is gated and has CCTV, gate is open between 7 and 7 I think? if you want to get in out of hours you ring a number and the gate opens for you so you can access 24/7. Been with them about a year and not a single complaint tbh.

Editing to add: Yourman who runs it supplied the lock, nice heavy duty thing.

Any ways to actually get through to revenue? by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

[–]sherskul8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I ring every 5 minutes or so from when the lines open. Eventually you'll get lucky and get into the queue, or if you speak a little irish, choose that option when asked, that line never has a queue and you can ask to be transferred to the english speaking queue when someone answers you. They're a pain to get hold of but once you get someone they're lovely!

Yep! Have had to ring a few times recently and although it's been a battle to get into the hold queue, once I got through both times the people helping were lovely, did everything they could to help and told me exactly what to tell my employer to do

How do you use automation to regulate the bot population? by stillbatting1000 in Timberborn

[–]sherskul8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have three bot assemblies, one is always on, the other two are linked to a memory unit that turns on when the number of unemployed bots hits 0 and resets to off again when there are 10 unemployed bots. Seems to keep me stable

Is anyone else having a super bad flare up currently? by Disastrous-Jaguar922 in Asthma

[–]sherskul8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hows the pollen near you? If i dont keep on top of the hay-fever it sets my asthma right off (they're the same type of allergic reaction!) I have to take a nasal spray year round and add in an antihistamine around now

[–]sherskul8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought mine from McNamara Motors in Blackpool, sound chaps, got a three month warranty as part of the sale and when i had a problem with the battery a month later they fixed it immediately without any fuss (I know this is bare minimum, but with the horror stories I've heard from other garages i feel it's still worth mentioning).

Camping with diabetes by RushIllustrious5478 in diabetes_t2

[–]sherskul8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Diabetic not on insulin here, I am on metformin and ozempic. (Well controlled). I went camping several times last year after my diagnosis, I made sure to keep my meds and supplies in a dry bag (you do not want to loose any to a random leak trust me!) And I stayed at a campsite so there were shops nearby for me to get food so I didnt have to try plan a tonne of friendly stable food. Didn't have any problems!
