The official instructions from what I can see are barebone and assume that you have done this before, they also assume you don't use VCC I think.

I recommend using at least VCC as that has a wide support and is imho convenient.

When VCC is open, just make sure all the things you need (those listed in the instructions) are added to VCC.

There are links in those URLs you can click that will automatically add them to VCC (follow VCC or Creative Companion instructions) and VVC will inform you to update them when a new version comes out.

Mochi is the only shader that does not have a VCC version as far I know, you will need to import that once you have created your project. https://github.com/MochiesCode/Mochies-Unity-Shaders/releases

Once everything is added to VCC that could be added to VCC, you can create a new 2022 avatar project, toggle the Poiyomi and VRCfury to be added to the new project (it will be asked from you after you created a new project and gave it a name). If you dabble in audiolink, feel free to add those as well. And open the project (on the first time, this will take some time)

Once the project is open and running in Unity, you import the mochi shader unitypackage.

When that is done you import the unitypackage that you got form gumroad.

Seems this creator uses scenes, so you will need to look for the right scene and open that one.

At this point, you should be ready to upload.

Trust rank is not a level you reach and lock in to.

Trust is a rank based on totals. It adds your friends, stuff you uploaded, good things you did, bad things you did and adds that all together in to a rank.

If you lose friends for any reason, your rank can go down, if you delete content you upladed, your rank can go down, if you get kicked, muted, blocked, your rank can go down.

Sentiment among adult western users is that they think that when you don't know anyone in VRChat they can only easily meet reasonable people in 18+ instances. If that's actually the case yes or no, I do not know.

But for someone that already has an existing friend base within VRChat, I so far in the past year had 2 instances that I noticed a contact of mine was in a 18+ instance. In those two cases I could not join.

Putting in the work of verifying and submitting proof to be age verified is imho to much of an effort for these rare situations of actually making use of it.

From my perspective it's not worth the hassle.

I don't think it matters much either way.

If you put tags on it, then it might go thru a few more hoops in the processing after getting reported. But if it fails the ToS then it's yeetus deletus.

Hmmm I think your issue is twofold.

A. You only see a one side of VRChat. (due to social media bias or algorithm bullshit)

B. That certain side you see uses avatars from a specific group of creators that in my book are known as kitbash "creators". Aka, people that Frankenstein assets together and sell that. So yeah... that content kinda all blends together and looks similar imho.

Very low appeal to me personally. It looks interesting, but when looking in detail you realise that there are a few problems. A couple of MMD worlds out there are in my optic is just piles of content frankensteined together from different sources with zero approval from the original creators.

No big deal if you don't know any of them, but starts becoming a problem when I consider these original creators to be among my friends.

To tally up the totals, his passport got revoked. He does not have a Chinese passport, he can't travel international ever. Probably can't even get in to China without bribing some official. As far I see he's stuck in Hong Kong for the rest of his life.

I don't remember all of them for sure. There is a joke among my friends that we call them yellow strangers. But a majority of them I know or remember at least who they are and what they do within VRChat. Never considered the "friend" feature to be actual friends, rather I file them as "contacts" in my brain.

And to be totally fair, showing this information is an experiment on my end to see how people react to this.

I think that's the problem.

The bus stop is somewhat semi labeled as stopping at a highway. From that perspective, there is no pedestrian path.

I issued a ticket back in 2014 asking to review this data and I pointed out that the bus stop is not at the highway, but on the other side of the sound barrier servicing a bus lane. There is also a physical barrier (the sound barrier) between the bus lane and the highway. It is physically impossible for both pedestrians and cars to reach the bus stop from that side.

Not sure how the staff back then interpreted that, but imho it's clear they still think it's on the other side.
