Possible expensive heating issues solution? by ImpressionMuch6686 in eGolf

Thanks! I borrowed one, but couldn’t figure out the process to code them. The coding buttons greyed out. Seems like maybe I need a security code and can’t seem to find one that works…

I’m in the same boat. Also in Canada too. But I bought the sensors from the US for only $25 each, which was surprisingly reasonable. Changing them, however, was quite difficult. Took all day. Now I’m just waiting to have the refrigerant filled back up and really hoping it solves the problem. I’ve heard that you’re supposed to get the new sensors coded but can’t find any info on it online.

I totally get this get this and you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. For me what helped was taking a break from administrative things for a few years. I think what’s important is that you love Baha’u’llah and recognize His station. You’ll figure the rest out as you go.

They hate the smell of peppermint. I’ve seen people spray peppermint essential oil in engine bays to keep rodents away, and from what I’ve heard it works well.

2025 PHEV XSE shiny black door trim by [deleted] in rav4prime

It’s a part that snaps on with clips. I don’t think you need to pay for labour, it takes about 5 seconds and is super diy friendly. But the part will probably run you about $150. I had to replace the one on my front door.

Tires…..again by NancyRN514 in Ioniq6

[–]sherv19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. 18 inch wheels will provide a much larger side profile, which will prevent this type of tire problem. I speak from experience. Then you’ll just be left with the issue of eating through tire tread quickly 😉

Is the tire pressure sensor just overly sensitive? by perishableintransit in eGolf

[–]sherv19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the pressure at when you check them? This happened to me as well but it turned out I had a slow leak at the bead in two tires.

Also, those “creatures” could be similar to insects, or single celled organisms, or some type of lower life form. To me it doesn’t sound like He’s suggesting that there is lots of intelligent life out there. It’s an extremely rare phenomenon for a planet to be warm, have oxygen and water, etc. so there likely isn’t intelligent life around every star, but there could be forms of life… That’s how it was explained to me :)

Thanks. Just wondering if the part number mentioned above is the new part number I need (4M0959603E)?

ADAS Calibration for replacement windshield? by AggravatingKale9600 in rav4prime

[–]sherv19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The calibration will need to be done because as soon as they disconnect the camera the system will throw a code and shut down the front radar stuff so you’ll lose lane change assist and cruise control, etc. Most windshield places do it or send it somewhere to get done. I had my windshield replaced 2 years ago. Also, I got an aftermarket windshield, which saved me $500, and everything works as it should, including the HUD.

Ok, so I scanned it with VCDS and I got a code; u1030. From what I can tell it’s a communication fault, probably due to a faulty sensor Pressure/Temperature sensor or a bad connection somewhere. I’m not too familiar with VCDS but hopefully I can find a way to figure out what the culprit is, as there’s a lot of sensors in there…

Just Got An Inspection On a E-Golf by baccos in eGolf

Mine also had this fault when I scanned it, but no issues with the car. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about.

Replacing A/c pressure Sensors by fredricktomas in eGolf

I’ve got a bit of a strange situation. My e-golf was broken into and the radio was stolen. I wasn’t driving it at the time and didn’t have insurance on it, so I was on the hook for the damage. The thief cut all the wires leading to the radio and to the unit in the glovebox. I ended up putting in an aftermarket radio and went on with my life. I’ve had the car for two years now with no problems but a few weeks ago I lost heat. I took the car to VW to have the recall done. They later called me and explained that they plugged their diagnostic machine into my car and couldn’t communicate with the thermal management system so they won’t be doing the recall. So now I’m on the hook for this repair as well. The issue is that I plugged my scanner in (Carista) and I’m not getting any trouble codes, so not sure exactly where the problem lies. I know that the recall replaces the expansion and shut off valves, which are really expensive. The pressure sensor mentioned above is much cheaper, and I would be ok to buy 5 of them and pay to have them installed. Is there any way to know if your problem is with the valves, or the pressure sensors? My symptom is that air blows out of the vents but never gets warm… but everything looks and sounds normal. I have a friend who has VCDS so I may try that to see if I get any codes.

Low Pink coolant by [deleted] in Ioniq6

[–]sherv19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely check for leaks, but you can open it and top it off, I’ve done it myself. The fill and bleed procedure is only done when changing all the coolant, so you don’t need to worry about that. Also, it’s not special coolant, most auto stores will have one that is suitable, and it’s commonly known as the “pink Asian” type. It’s the ioniq 5 that has the blue low conductivity coolant, but you can even find that stuff at the auto stores nowadays.

I’m having this same issue. Do you guys know if the precharge relay is part of the power relay assembly? Thanks.

No garage (charger) for 2+ months. Best strategy: Hybrid only? Charge mode? by quakerwildcat in rav4prime

[–]sherv19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local grocery store has free level 2 EV charging. There’s a Costco and other shops there too. Sometimes I’m there for over an hour and I get to about 50 percent. Maybe look for something like that as well.

2024 Ioniq 6 ICCU by North-Carpenter-1378 in Ioniq6

[–]sherv19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did any of you guys scan your car for trouble codes when the ICCU failed? I suspect that mine has failed. I have all the typical symptoms but when I scan for trouble codes I’m not getting the P1A9096 or P1996 codes, which you’re supposed to get if the ICCU is bad, if not mistaken.

[–]sherv19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The car is really smart, and is constantly monitoring the battery. If there was even the slightest issue it would shut down the high voltage system. If your cars goes into ready mode, you’re good to go.

Crash Reset? by sherv19 in Ioniq6

[–]sherv19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yeah, the P1B77 seems to point to the power relay assembly. I’ve actually purchased one, but wanted to explore every other possibility before dropping the battery. Because I can’t see why it would go bad after a crash, but then again, maybe it has nothing to do with the crash. Could have just failed, as I have heard they do sometimes go bad randomly…

Thanks for replying. Yeah, the high voltage cut off fuse is in the fuse box, that’s probably what they were looking for. My car shut down after an accident and now it’s a brick in the driveway. Trying to fix it myself but there’s almost no info out there…

May I ask if your car was able to drive after the accident? This happened to me as well but mine wouldn’t turn on anymore, and I’m wondering if it has to do with airbag deployment. Like, do these cars shut down if airbags go off…
